  • You were on about wiping Evatts jizz from chins before ffs. Bullshit this and bullshit that. Like anyone that backs him is some kind of mentalist. Im a backer. I believe he will get it

  • Only an absolute cretin would think of sacking a manager who has done what Evatt has done

Bottom line is we and he are nowhere near as good as he see us and himself.    I get he’s got confidence in the way he wants us to play. But it’s bordering on arrogance now. He thinks this pass

I watched Carlisle at Burnden in the 80s a number of times and there was never more than 1k, usually a lot less.  Not that we took thousands there, different times.

Away fans don't like to admit they're attracted by going to games at that big stadium they can see from the M61 but the numbers say otherwise.

And we know its a shit away day, we don't pretend its anything else and we have no more influence over that than we do who owns the club or who plays left back.

Our grounds are 103 miles apart.
All bar 1.5 miles is motorway.

Ok,

Carlisle fan in peace LOL

To be fair there is a real 'feel good' factor around Brunton Park at the moment, it looks like we may be about to be bought by a rich American family, we should know within the next Month, but everything at the moment is pointing in the right direction.

Believe it or not its actually not that unusual we take large followings, and especially clubs around your area, as we don't really have any local rivals. Bolton is like a 'local derby' to us LOL. And anyway I don't think we've played at your stadium since it was built apart from the 'Covid' season when no one was allowed in, so its a new experience for most of us.

They haven't announced how many more tickets we will be getting, anybody any ideas?

And pubs!! Just seen not far away from your ground is a pub called 'The Beehive', and another called 'The Barnstormers' any good?

And one last thing, don't be too surprised if your manager gets a bit of 'stick', ex Barrow is all I need to say.

You get my sentiment though eh?

You play in a soulless industrial estate, the antithesis of traditional working class football.  Burnden park would've been more appealing but we wouldn't have been offered a potential 5000 tickets I suppose.

dose your place still  FLOOD

and you play Water Polo on it in winter

We have the biggest capacity ground in the UK with terracing, Brunton park is a beautiful living history piece of art of what football grounds used to be.

It will be a sad day when we leave.

Can you say the same about your mid 90's early incarnation of the scourge on football, the modern out of town sterile football ground?

Enjoy your visit Doug.

Last time I went to Brunton Park, Wanderers were the prestige opposition for the opening of your new stand (which remains 20 yards out from where it should be in relation to the pitch).

Industrial estate?

Are you getting us mixed up with Wycombe?

And there was me thinking it was one of the best football stadiums outside the Premier league in the UK.

No pleasing some folk, who think all grounds should be like they were in the 1960’s.

Football grounds have moved on.

Most have. Carlisle's not one of them.

Think Barnstormers is home only?

Beehive is the one.

Or Chorley.

Barnstormers is away friendly, you'll have a ball in there, and Bromilow Arms further up is even better.

If you decide to investigate where our ground should be in the centre of the town I'd try the Duck N Furkin. They have strippers on in there from between 12 and 2. Don't tell everyone or it'll be rammed. You can get a private dance in a booth for a tenner

Pre drink at Tebay services.

Antithesis? Roll on clown.

Carlisle giving stick to Evatt for being ex-Barrow is a low for them, surely? You’d think they’d be saving their energy for ex players from proper local rivals like Motherwell and Queen of the South.

It's a retail park rather than industrial estate, get your insults correct pal 👍

Another recommendation for the Bromilow Arms.

get on manchester rd in l/h & walkden, plenty to go at, straight on motorway to the ground to

mini bus of newcastle tipped up once

I seem to recall that a minibus load of Newcastle used to turn up at Dukes Gate when they were in the area.

Average away following is around 600. Which is no mean feat for a club who are 2hrs drive just to get down here before they carry on to wherever else they’re going. Us, Fleetwood, Wigan and Blackpool they will take decent numbers to this season but let’s not paint it as anything more than what it is…. A full on m0ngs day out at a bigger clubs ground which they haven’t been to before

the biggest away following in about 10 years and around 40% of their home gate says so.

maybe where I seen them, I used to live on the estate at the back of the dukes

More the better, all money in the pot this & Blackpool will be the only significant away following to us for a while

Testing

Barnstormers is the place to be for away fans.

They have pissed alot of people off by longer allowing home fans.

plenty parking aswell

Greenwood is away friendly too I think.

Old Orleans on Middlebrook is a good boozer, away fan friendly too

Better options in town for away fans, Maxwell Plums, Ritzy & Pink Panthers the pick and despite the name McGinlays is ok for home and away fans
