I was approached for a job role the other day, part of it was that the position meant that it was 3 days in the office. The conversation didn't last very long at all, if I'm not out with at a customers, no way do I want to be trudging half an hour to an office every day, where they can monitor what I am or am not doing

Quite. Not sure the person who has stopped working altogether should be criticising the working practices of those who still are.

Some might point out that the country would also be less fucked if those of working age continued to do so, thus contributing more in tax and national insurance contributions.

FWIW, this isn’t a criticism of retiring early. If you can, good on you. I hope to do the same.
