Hi all

I'm from Scotland and bringing my 12 year old son down on Saturday for his 1st Bolton match. We arrive at Horwich Train Station around 12.00. What are the best pubs close by for pre match atmosphere.

Nam ploy on the retail park, not for atmosphere per se but busy and beer is good. Hope your son has a cracking day.

Fan zone bit grim in the current weather. Harvester has upped its game a bit, just on the right but  Naam ploy for a decent atmosphere, ale, scoff and table at that time. up steps by club shop at far side of the ground. Hope he has a belter and we turn up

What part of the ground for atmosphere too?

No doubt there will be a general pointer towards esl.

However, so long as we play well, and win, it won't matter.

Southern corner of East Stand Lower is the noisiest section. North Lower probably next best.

Thanks for all your help guys. We are looking forward to it.

If you're asking about best area, sounds like you haven't got tickets yet?

If not, are you aware you need to be members?

Pretty sure you can still buy them at the Ticket Office on the day and they sort all that out.

I've sorted that. Became a member a few weeks back.

I’ll second Nam Ploy. As Tomski says, it is more a pub on matchdays but still does decent scran. My advice would be to make your way there straight off the train to get a decent seat near a tv screen.

Thanks. That will be the plan. Train gets in at 11ish now. Got the earlier one.

I'm a touch surprised at 66s. Is that typical?

Maybe I'm over egging us, but we've scored plenty recently, I imagined the chances as being higher! (Odds lower)

Just been looking and both this lot & Leyton Orient aren’t too shabby away from home.

Latter only lost 3 away out of 10.
