So glad the trains are running. Plain sailing both ways, pretty much for the first time all season ironically enough.

Just getting to Manchester picc looks like all the trains are cancelled to Bolton 🙄

Yeah for all the good work to have Nlundulu on loan and him be rubbish then sign him is truly baffling

He was just starting to be less rubbish then he went lame.

About as baffling as giving Morley a long term contract earlier this year.

We make some staggering decisions.

What are Morley's strengths as a player?

Geniune question as my memory is shit

He's a good 6/10 player and has a good dead ball delivery.

Not likely to be a game changer but unlikely to lose you one either

Just home. At least the motorways behaved. One massive glass of villa Maria poured whilst watching Crewe.

Man, am deflated. I haven't gone on my credit card app yet, but I'm reckoning around 700 to 800 for everything with 2 late teenage kids in tow,  And a million rounds of beer at Watford bars that seem to have minimum prices of 6 quid a pint set in stone.

Think I knew after 15 mins how it was panning out. The view I had was spectacular compared to esl corner. Could see it all pan out. Oxford letting the cloggers at the back passing it around whilst they slowly encroach our territory then snapping a quick press. It was impressive to see how they managed us so well.

Always been and evatt fan and always someone to try and see the positive side of a coin , but now, 24 hours later and sober, I'm in the boat which is not caring if he was to go or not. We do well at home hammering the cannon fodder of the league, but every time we lose its the same way, every,  single,  time.... we're never outgunned or ran off the park, we just limp around for 90 mins, giving nowt.

We've got a unit of strikers good enough to get us out of league one next year. A change in formation would be nice in these games the opposition let us roll it around 3 centre backs in out own half before one of them gives it away. If the formation won't change we need to get the two best wing backs we can for out budget, and a midfielder that can be the general. Doesn't need to be a cunt either. Someone who can boss it with his feet via passes and tackles, a Barry banana type. Would be right what we need.

Three centre backs of toal, forester and Johnstone is what I'd be looking at too. Santos isn't the gun player he'd made out to be, most of the barges, tackles and out muscling is when he's already fucked up and saving his ass!

Birmingham,, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Barnsley,Peterborough, Blackpool, wigan, Wrexham, Stockport.....they're all going to be gunning hard for us next year. 18 fixtures we could end up very few points from based on this seasons offerings,  dreading it 😕

In our padded seats in the Bobby Moore zone we sat next to a few Asian lads from Deane. They were fucking loud especially when the day trippers in the boxes behind us started ballooning.

Imagine how much it’ll be when we’re there in 2 years time 🤪

My thoughts exactly. Football can just fuck off until August.

Yesterday was just one part of a truly terrible football week for me.

- My 14 year old daughter and 3 of her mates “released” by her grassroots team after 8 season because the coach suddenly thinks he’s Pep. It was her life. She’s in pieces

- Lost a league play off final with my 12 year old son’s team on Thursday night against a team coached by some of the most horrible people I’ve ever met

- Not only lost yesterday but had both kids in tears because of a bunch pissed up twats embarrassing themselves right in front of us and getting thrown out by the police

- Just got home from losing cup final with my son’s team against the same horrible bastards we lost to on Thursday

Someone remind me why I like football?

For years I’ve been talking about year on year progress. (the opposite is also true) Based on my history, I’m going for 3-4 years and therefore it’ll probably be over £100. 😊

Whether folk believe it should have happened or not, the pitch invasion isn't responsible for yesterday's performance.

Absolutely 👍

It’s really no surprise that the prices are so high when you look at the amount of pissed up space cadets a Wembley trip attracts. The cost in stewarding and police must be massive.

Just landed back in Wigan. The trains are ace when they work.

Still down about the result and could have had a week somewhere nice with the amount we have spent.

My god it is a dear do ,

Early estimates for the whole trip are £480 each for me and Mrs

@Traf Tours got us 10 nights in Paphos in June for £550 each

I posted this earlier, but we aren’t normal, are we?

I was in the pub for longer than my beloved expected.

How she has expectations of me after 40 odd years I’ll never know. Especially if I’ve been with Loft .

About as baffling as giving Morley a long term contract earlier this year.

We make some staggering decisions.

Our board seemed to be in a rush a bit back to be seen to be doing the things progressive clubs do, back Evatt strongly with funds for signings and tie down our talents to keep the vultures away.

Nlundulu's perm signing, for money, still looks highly questionable, as does the contract for Morley

Edited by ianofcleveleys

Tbf Morley had a spell last season where he was one of the first names on the team sheet.

Certainly didn’t envisage him having such a bit part role this year (and generally not doing much when he did get a chance)

At least @Zico saved a few quid as he jumped the barriers at St Pancras on the way back to ours

At the other end they have a big gate they leave open so walked straight through
