Feel drained this morning, it’s been a tough ride this season. We’ve got up for games as supporters. Think collectively we’ve all done our part even through that period when we played Blackpool and Wigan.

dreading the fallout, who do we lose in the transfer window who would’ve stayed. Will we be weaker against the other teams who have dropped from Championship.

there’s a lot to process.

That's one of the depressing things. I think this season was about as easy as it was ever going to be to get out of this league. Even the top two didn't blow me away.

  • Might be an idea to let's just watch a football match without all this attention seeking bumcbuffery.

Just read in BEN Gethin Jones apologising to the fans and saying the players to a man in the dressing room did not know what went wrong ? FFS it’s not rocket science from the first bad tackle you all bottled it and played like fairies !!!

The question to him in response would be 'so when you walked out onto the pitch what were you expecting to happen?'

Also goes to heart of the problem that there is no real leader on the pitch that will bollock other players and drag a performance out of them.

Absolute priority is a proper leader on the pitch. Remember when everyone used to criticise Nolan as he was always pointing telling other players what to do ?

Watching Crystal Palace demolish Aston Villa yesterday, they did everything we didn't. CB hitting long incisive balls. Movement up front. Balls being delivered into key areas. Mixing it up, keeper throwing it long rather than that playing it out from the back bollocks. Didn't need anyone bollocking, geeing up or pointing.

They've been an excellent watch over the last couple of months

was anyone on the 10pmish train from Crewe to Manchester? the lad who reckoned he worked in the clubs accounts dept?

Been watching a fair few playoff games recently, or catching up on highlights up & down the English pyramid. Scottish promotion & relegation playoffs as well.

Some teams have underperformed & there have been disappointments. But nothing comes anywhere close to how we performed. Not an ounce of desire or willingness to try & play, no urgency or effort.

It’s unheard of, when so much is at stake, it really is.

The more I process it, the more bewildered I end up.

It really is unfathomable.  We see mistakes in other games, poor play and poor defending eg that awful pass back by a Crawley player that nearly gave Crewe a penalty.

But I just can't recall seeing another professional game of football, with something at stake, have so little energy, appetite, desire, fight, urgency.  Yet it came as no big surprise, that's not the first time is it? As others mentioned, Iredale strolling over to take the corner summed the whole performance up.  That were loads of shouts of "come on" etc at that stage, which could be interpreted as "come on whites, we can still make a game of this" but was actually folk shouting "come on Iredale, show a bit of interest and urgency, get the corner taken, do you know we're losing?".  A truly bizarre and embarrassing match, given how many people have watched that all over the UK and beyond.

Evatt should have just put this on at HT… would love to know what he said.

Can’t believe Evatt actually let Maghoma go out for the second half. Should have been dragged off after 5 minutes or not selected in the first place as he’s been backing out of tackles all season.

There’s another speech Pep did before they beat Arsenal 4-1 last season. Can’t find it but he talked about letting them kick you and kick them harder. And expecting pain during a game & enjoying it. Sounds dodgy I know 🤣 But it’s the mentality that we completely lack.

Now nobody is expecting Evatt to get us winning as many games as City. But he seems to know very little regarding mentality. Quality counts for nothing if players don’t have the mental ability to bounce back & adapt in a game. I just can’t see how he’s going to change things & appears incapable.

Grateful for what he’s done & the ignition he’s brought to the club. But I’m 90% sure if he stays it will be a shite season & become quite toxic.

The other 10% thinks it might be the kick up the arse he needs to say ‘never again’.

This !

You just don’t see it. It’s beyond unacceptable.

Every corner was fucking wank.

Most were, ironically the one Iredale took wasn't bad, even beat the first man and didn't overhit it!

We are used to poor corners, but not the complete lack of urgency in getting the game played.

If we're chasing a goal in a home game near the 90th minute, I usually see some urgency, sprinting to take corners and throw-ins.  Cogley, Jones, Morley all looking up for it, irrespective of quality delivery or not.  Saturday was like the last 10 minutes of a pre-season friendly, literally going through the motions other than Dempsey.

Everyone I've spoken to today has been full of sympathy and "you just didn't turn did you"

Prefer it when everyone hates us.

starting to become an issue

the manager and now two players have come out and said they can't understand what happened

This is huge for the owners.  They have no experience of things turning toxic at our place, but if they stick with Evatt and we make a slow start, Saturday will be very, very raw in everyone's thoughts!  When the fans turn, the managers are done at our place.  This is a massive decision

They must be fucking stupid….loads of teams figured low block, hit on break with pace is the recipe to beat us, thought analysis and fine detail was what Evatt was all about. Not changing formation for 49 games in a season is not acceptable.

We get expenses back from EFL for hotels

Papa John's paid for those last year.

The flags did arrive but couldn't be used. Knowing what happened, I'd say it was a supplier issue rather than another stick to beat the club with.

Massively overrated

I’ve said this umpteen times on here.

And I don’t take any credit for being right, but I can’t see how IE is going to fix even this problem, never mind the bigger problem.
