I was at that match, only 12 at the time. I remember being kept in the ground and had my name taken by the police.

the lad who ‘did’ it went to my School, he was expelled but allowed back after the trial collapsed.. we all looked at him with a certain amount of fear afterwards. He tried to keep his head down but was a target for some lads who wanted to have a go!
