I see Starmer and Macron have got the straits of Hormuz open.

Iran saw them coming and immediately realised they couldn’t win.

Well done lads.

It’s a very good point that.

He is basically a drag queen in a nappy.

Indeed, but George Clooney is upset, so who cares if he likes fucking kids, shitting himself on a regular basis, and wearing make up.

The make up wearing sex pest.

The state the this country was left in after 12 years of Conservatives.

The economic failures. Austerity decimating public services. Privatisation destroying our water systems & sewage infrastructure. Public transport more expensive & less efficient. Wasted rail projects.

The PM partying and drinking whilst people died alone in care homes.

The lettuce that outlived a PM after she caused economic carnage.

A failed Rwanda scheme … deliberately allowing a huge backlog of asylum claims.

Nobody is sorting out that mess within a couple of years of government. And the way the world is, with the challenges we face, we need to start accepting that things aren’t getting better any time soon.

You don’t have a leg to stand on saying this Labour government is worse than the Conservatives were.

Not a chance lad . Daft as shite

The cognitive dissonance is unreal.

But you don't always, you seem very happy any time there is any bad news, especially if it involves the Labour government

I'm very much (usually) a Conservative voter, I didn't vote for the current cretin(s) in charge, but I'd still like them to do well for the country

Fucking twaddle.

There are a number of sick minded fuckers on here (Spider acolytes?) but if, as you say, George Clooney is upset there are reasons to be cheerful (part 3).

Fuck Wrexham and and anything else Hollywood.

Like so many socialist oriented people, he has no idea about the need to balance the books.

The austerity years, covid and a war all affecting our, and the world's economics.

It is so easy for an opposition party to create a narrative that the government isn't performing, even if it is doing OK in the circumstances.

Anything that the current government actually does well will also be lost in the sea of negativity, as a result of poor performance, and continued scandal.

Nevertheless, this is entirely their own fault: making so many things worse, so quickly and a leader alienating himself to the people and his mps alike.

Whether they like it or not, Starmer and other European leaders are going to have to get involved to a greater extent in the region to get the ships moving.

Farmers are constantly hit, and the impending food price crisis is going to his us hard.

I was watching one farmer considering not planting up his fields to grow crops, as essentially, he would lose less money.

We won't be able to import our way out of it neither, as all other nations that require fertiliser and fuel, will be hit equally.

Aye mate. I have no problem with anyone making that argument - things certainly aren’t looking much better. But I also recognise it’s early days and nobody can undo the past 12 years in a year or two.

My issue was with TMGJs daft post that this lot were the worst government of his lifetime. When the evidence from the previous lot clearly shows they’ve caused more damage.

At least you didn’t attempt to agree with him 😄

Oh the irony 😂

As I said above, crack on & criticise Labour & Starmer’s leadership. I’d agree with some of it.

Just don’t try to post daft shite that they’ve made more of a mess than the previous shambles did. The evidence isn’t on your side with that one.

I’m well aware that there’s no magic money tree… doesn’t help your argument to make stuff up. Fwiw I voted against a pay increase in my last union ballot - as a protest that we should be focusing on conditions not pay, as the money could be better used across the council & education.
You’ve jumped to another daft conclusion there.

I have no issue with hard decisions being made. But that has to apply to all. If we’re forced into making cuts to youth centres, health services & prison staff. Then we as a society should expect those cuts to hit the richest as well. It’s no coincidence that ever rising wealth inequality has resulted in higher cost of living & lowered standards of living. The rich should not be getting richer during times of national austerity. And wouldn’t it be great if we capped the wealth of billionaires before we destroyed the very fabrics that hold our society together

As for farmers… we could start a whole new thread on their plight. The biggest issue they face is what we pay for food. We still pay pennies for so much of their food. Whilst supermarkets rake in huge profits, farmers have to decide whether it’s even worth planting a field of crops.

Strait CLOSED

In a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy warns that "no vessel is to move from its anchorage in the Persian Gulf or the Sea of Oman".

It says a number of vessels had passed through the strait under its management since last night, but that the waterway would shut again until the US stops its blockade of Iranian ports.

"Approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be considered co-operation with the enemy, and the offending vessel will be targeted," it adds.

IRGC saying it's closed. Trump saying it's open.

Who do you believe? Basically cancer vs AIDS.
