enzo gambaro Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I stand by everything i've said. Seems like you're allowed to say what you want in whatever way you want to but when i respond using the language which i'm sure 90% of people who come on here use in their everyday life, ie tosser and knobhead, you get upset and give me a warning. I have, despite what you claim, given my reasons for calling you these things. If you feel i am not intellectual enough for you don't waste your time replying but don't threaten to rip me to pieces as(me being a rough'n who swears and doesn't respect other peoples opinions) i may take this the wrong way and smack you one next time i see you at the match(if you actually bother to turn up again). Guess i'll be banned after this so toodle pip.

exiledwhite2 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Mophead, that sh??t you just posted has brightened up my day, what an introduction For what it's worth, I think Sam would do better to shut his trap about the fans, he is probably totally naive about the reasons why the stadium isn't packed. 'If you don't know a lot about a topic - shut it' is usually good advice. But the man is a legend in my book and I will forgive him most things if we continue perform as we've done ever since he took over. Anyway it was nice knowing you - I guess you thought it's better to burn out than to fade away ::::::::::::::
Burndens Bogs Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Don't clear off too quickly MH,most people swear on here - but maybe not directly at another poster. You've got your opinion and your entitled to it, a few on here might not agree with you - but wouldn't life be boring if we all agreed all the time?

Threatening to slap someone because you can't bring them round to your way of thinking, quality. Ladies and Gentlemen, Nobhead has left the building.
bristol_wanderer Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Please do not ban Mophead. Such entartainment is hard to come by. To be fair the Mophead makes valid points, if you look behind the abuse. The problem is, when he talks about supporters, Sam is not subtle enough nor eloquent enough to make his point the enough precision so as not to upset some fans. I interpret what his message saying as 'The atmosphere for the Man City game was disappointing, I keep telling all the players how good the atmosphere is, but it wasn't there. Please supporters, come to the game and cheer the team on, the players need it'. I don't see anything wrong with that. What his message isn't saying is 'I understand the supporters make sacrifices to get to the games, and that the cost is prohibitive, and prices need to be reviewed'. He has aluded to that in the past however. Previous managers haven't offended the supporters in this way, but nor have they appear to have cared as much one way or another. From the things Sam says, it is clear he wants this club to be as big and successful as possible, with as big as support as possible. No other manager has had this ambition. Saying 'sack Sam' is short sighted, to say the very least.
Ani Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 my view for what it is worth is that carlos original line that sam 'could be a legend' is pretty spot on. as with a lot of things at the club on the pitch preety near perfect off the pitch continue to shoot ourselves in the foot. the club is in real danger of alienating season ticket holders at the moment would be nice to see someone from the club come out and say somethign nice about those who are turning up week in week out, sam mentions the away support being good and vocal, but at home the fans get blamed if the players can not lift themselves. sam is the best thing to happen to this club in years but as i said a pr course would nt go amiss. with regards moppy i would nt ban him but i would nt ban anyone.
Big E Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Sam is a legend. I remember the days when my friends would take me to watch their team (normally united or liverpool in the prem/division 1) and i would get to watch top flight football and in return they only got to watch bolton play teams like darlington and chester. The man has brought us a very long way. I never thought we would play on foreign shores unless it was in a friendly and yet he got us into Europe. However, his recent complaints about supports and continuation in providing sly digs at fans is getting on my nerves. I have never heard him say "well done to those who travelled here today" or "nice to see that 22k people turned up here today". he only ever focuses on the bad points. Maybe he should look into the style of play and the entertainment factor or the fact that many of our stars never recognise the fans on away journeys etc. how hard is it to clap 300 fans who travelled to pomepy on a monday night. The club are going some way to fixing the problem of poor relationships with fans with the free coaches being provided for the arsenal trip however i feel the damage that seems evident on many fans sites will take a little more to heel.
seasoned Traveller Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Can I Play please.... Dear Mr Allardyce, Just on thing to say..............Blackburn....15 Quid.....=.....Full house on our part. The proof as they say is in the pudding. I've just paid 32 quid to watch England v West Indies for a full day's entertainment, and I can sup ale in my seat, the days of paying 39 quid to watch football are long gone for me. The average wage in the UK is say 25 - 30k, not the hundreds of thousands you and your players earn Sam. Get in the real world.
Casino Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 the days of paying 39 quid to watch football are long gone for me eh? you do know the rest of us are talking about 39 quid being too much for one game, not a Season Ticket?
Casino Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 The proof as they say is in the pudding and you might say that, but nobody else does
seasoned Traveller Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Dont get all lippy now...jst cos you beat The Power
Smiffs Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 What a thoroughly entertaining thread. Bravo. I vote we get mophead back, for entertainment value alone. Everyone has given someone stick so he isnt the first.
ralph gubbins Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I,totaly agree with smiffs on this one, good entertainment&bad spellin(the wines kikkin in) see you all on the dirty boat
Carlos Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 What a thoroughly entertaining thread. Bravo. I vote we get mophead back, for entertainment value alone. Everyone has given someone stick so he isnt the first. Right, if that's the concensus, I'll un-ban him for the moment.
White Army Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Could've been a legend?? Are you for real? The guy has taken us to a level we could only dream about a few years ago. Yet knobheads like you still find something to moan about. As the manager of our club do you expect him to say nothing about our shit support? Anybody who has a problem with Sam has a short memory. He's our fcuking saviour and one day they'll build a statue of him in Bolton. But luckily for you tossers he won't be our manager forever and then we can slip back down the leagues and it'll be just like the good old days when Phil Neal was in charge. Happy days!!! You are a legend yourself mate, couldn't agree more with you. Although to be honest i did enjoy a few good days out in the lower leagues when phil was gaffer, what a tosser he was. Sam is a complete God, he is a realist-says things how they are and tries not to get carried away. Ive never seen anyone with so much desire as a player to head the ball like he did for us, and as a manager he's the same. 5,000 empty seats doesn't exactly set the adrenaline rush for the players at home to one of your rivals, shitty. HOWEVER at ??39 I can understand all the stay aways. That is a completely different scenario though and yes "real football fans" are dying because of tv rights and prices and out of town/city new grounds. But sacking Sam is not the answer you bunch of Knob Heads!! If Sam goes Bolton will slither back down to the bottom leagues-then its party time for all you gary nevilles saying sack Sam i suppose. i said the day Charlton lose Alan Curbishly they will go down and look at them now, it will be the same when we lose Big Sam. Keep going mophead, I'll support you!!!! Ohhh Sammy Sammy, Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy Allardyce!!
Tony Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I know that there are some people on here who would say "we've never had it so good". My personal view is that every year we play in the Premier League our style of football gets worse, I think you can charge high prices if you play high quality football we don't. I think that Sam has achieved tremendous things at Bolton and is a very driven individual, often people like that are flawed and difficult. I don't like him and I never have, I try not to listen to him on Radio/TV because he makes my blood boil. In my younger days when football on TV was less common in European games the key aim when playing away was to quiten the crowd in the first 20 minute. That is not supposed to be the objective of the home manager. If you have any real talent in football as a coach you develop an attacking team. I don't think that at any stage in his management career he has ever done that. My best moments in supporting Bolton have been mainly in great FA cup and League Cup games and in the 70's we had many good times, we were terible in the 80's and those who still went are the core support, we had some fantastic times in the 90's. I wish that at home we would try to play more football, I accept grinding out results away but not at home. I will be at Arsenal and am still optimistic that we can win and do very well in the Cup.
Mounts Kipper Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 to those who say it is ??39 to watch bolton obviously never go to the Reebok, tell me 1 game where the bottom price for a ticket was ??39, if you cannot talk sense shut up chaps.
Hutch Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Thats exactly why the ??39 ticket needs to be dropped immediately Its a perception problem - not all tickets are that expensive but thats what gets the headlines With the extra ??13.9 million a team finishing 10th will get next year (2007/08) in comparison with last year (2005/06), all top price ticket should be reduced by ??10 per game Cost = ??2 million a year Drop the ??1.50 transaction fee, cost about 150K Eddie still has over ??11 million left to play with...
Zozzy Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I agree with mophead's comments/passion for his team, it would be ridiculous to ban him. The poster with the most nobhead views on this thread is Tony Carlos has his own agenda but also has some valid points, but has lost the argument with mophead IMO. Also too much negative stuff at this time in the history of BWFC is out of order. Mounts idea about a Q &A session could only ever be done with the official BWSA. A big percentage of WWays posters are miserable moaning bastards, why should Sam who has done so much for the fans sit in front of that shower.

george Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Sam cocked up last season by going public with his England ambitions but keeping us in the Premier League and getting us into Europe on the money he has been given is a footballing miracle. the prices and the location of the ground are the two main causes of discontent at the moment and neither of those are due to Sam. Its inevitable that the next manager wont be able to keep Bolton in the top 8 for any length of time so we should appreciate what we have while it lasts.Even if it isnt as good to watch as the Rioch era.
Traf Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 A big percentage of WWays posters are miserable moaning bastards, why should Sam who has done so much for the fans sit in front of that shower. You'd probably lump me in that big percentage you mention, but does being critical make our opinions worth less than such optimistic visionaries like your good self? Just because I don't believe the sun shines out of Sam's ??rsecrack, shouldn't preclude me from voicing my opinion nor should it prevent me from asking a question to a man who is, in effect, a glorified public servant, since I help to contribute towards his wages. Zozzy, your comment about Carlos having his own agenda could very easily be levelled at yourself too.
Carlos Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I have no agenda whatsoever other than to see BWFC Plc treating it's supporters with the courtesy and respect they deserve. As for losing an argument with Nobhead
