YATESY Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Could a vote not have been setup for this? Newcastle
Boltimore Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Blackburn Away at Newcastle is always a cracker.
Gaz Nt Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Away at Blackburn is better . . . in my opinion. Agreed! Also most of my mates are Inbred fans so don't know what ide do without the banter!
764104443 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Newcastle. They are crap and think they have the right to stay up just because they have a big fan base!
tyldesley_white Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Newcastle. They are crap and think they have the right to stay up just because they have a big fan base! If they go down, we will se how big that fan base really is
jules_darby Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Blackburn for me, Newcastle is just too good a weekend away - pre-match strippers, post-match slags and comedy accents
Zico Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Blackburn for me, Newcastle is just too good a weekend away - pre-match strippers, post-match slags and comedy accents f?cking ell am torn now newcastle going down is far far funnier but for the reasons above, newcastle staying up is far far better f?ck big sam if newcastle can be sh?t again next season I'll vote for blackburn instead
TravellingWanderer Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Newcastle, there is always the option of a night in Newcastle after the Sunderland game, would you really want to spend an evening in Sunderland? Looking at Newcastle's run in I think they will pick up 10 points, apart from Chelsea their home games are winnable. Whether 39 points will keep them up I'm not so sure. Saturday, 04 April 2009 Newcastle v Chelsea, 15:00 Saturday, 11 April 2009 Stoke v Newcastle, 15:00 Sunday, 19 April 2009 Tottenham v Newcastle, 13:30 Monday, 27 April 2009 Newcastle v Portsmouth, 20:00 Saturday, 02 May 2009 Liverpool v Newcastle, 15:00 Saturday, 09 May 2009 Newcastle v Middlesbrough, 15:00 Saturday, 16 May 2009 Newcastle v Fulham, 15:00 Sunday, 24 May 2009 Aston Villa v Newcastle, 16:00
Casino Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 next three games, nil points thay aint getting another 10
Traf Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 9 is the most they'll get, and to do that they'll have to beat Pompey, Boro and Fulham, because they'll lose the other 5.
Eddie Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 9 is the most they'll get, and to do that they'll have to beat Pompey, Boro and Fulham, because they'll lose the other 5. I agree with that Traf, and I don't think they will beat Boro in what could be a derby that is also a relegation decider. 7 points at most for me, and therefore going down.
Alf Hartigan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 i think the geordies are going down. and good riddance. let's get more 'little' clubs in the Prem and listen to the Massives whinge
Traf Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 You can still get 6/5 for newcastle to go down: looks great value to me.
YATESY Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) As us and Fulham proved last season, the business end of the season doesn't half throw up some odd results and unexpected changes of fortune. For what it is worth, I think Newcastle will get relegated but... Saturday, 04 April 2009Newcastle v Chelsea, 15:00 DRAW 1 point: Premiership now a two horse race and Anelka injured = Chelsea out of sorts. Saturday, 11 April 2009 Stoke v Newcastle, 15:00 DRAW 1 point: Massive relegation clash. Delap cant get his game together and Owen pinches a point on the break Sunday, 19 April 2009 Tottenham v Newcastle, 13:30 DEFEAT 0 points Monday, 27 April 2009 Newcastle v Portsmouth, 20:00 WIN 3 points: Portsmouth have one of their many off days away from the south coast Saturday, 02 May 2009 Liverpool v Newcastle, 15:00 DRAW 1 point: Liverpool start to crumble under the pressure of expectation Saturday, 09 May 2009 Newcastle v Middlesbrough, 15:00 WIN 3 points: with Boro already down, its an easy win. Saturday, 16 May 2009 Newcastle v Fulham, 15:00 WIN 3 points: Fulham are safe and the UEFA Cup spot is no longer achievable. Sunday, 24 May 2009 Aston Villa v Newcastle, 16:00 DRAW 1 point: Villa's season of promise ends in tatters as they crawl over the finishing line 13 points and they are safe. It could happen and that is why nobody with less than 39 points is safe yet IMO. Its a funny time of year this, when players start to think of the summer break. It helped us last season and traditionally at least one team escapes by the skin of their teeth. Edited March 24, 2009 by YATESY
Zico Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 alternatively each game LOSE: 0 points - Newcastle are shit for one of the games LOSE: 0 points - Kinnear dies pre match Newcastle are still shit and what's all this "business end of the season"? SSN's phrase of the month, that's all
green genie Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 i think the geordies are going down. and good riddance. let's get more 'little' clubs in the Prem and listen to the Massives whinge It was mentioned on Talksport over the weekend that NUFC don't have agreements in their players' contracts to enforce wage cuts if they drop. Could be a meltdown of Leeds proportions
