God I hate the fecking media sometimes:

Having bought four players this summer, Bolton boss Gary Megson has done the equivalent of looking at your bank balance after a four-day bender. Once he recovers from the shock and remembers what the entries for 'champagne room' mean, he will be pawning Gavin McCann, Nicky Hunt and Danny Shittu quicksmart.

Didn't realise the Guardian had a full run down of our finances and transfer strategy. Don't think we should get rid of McCann, don't really care if the other two stay or go.

and just to re-affirm jules and nb

thats a section of guardian football called the rumour mill

and it's v funny

in no way to be taken seriously

Don't know if there is anything in this?

Tshabalala to Bolton?

Kaizer Chiefs' winger Siphiwe Tshabalala has emerged as a shock target for Bolton Wanderers. It is understood the Trotters will be ready

to pay up to ?2 million to land the South Africa international.

Tshabalala, the 24 year old left winger, has plenty of experience at international level and is expected to be an important part of the South

Africa team in the World Cup in 2010 in his homeland.

Several other clubs in Europe are monitoring the player, including Genoa and Sunderland.

"GARY MEGSON is facing stiff competition from Fiorentina in his bid to land Andreas Beck from Hoffenheim. The Bolton boss is searching for defensive cover and right-back Beck, 22, is on his radar. Megson is mulling over a ?3million move for the German international." NotW

I might give this some credence if we didn't have a team of full-backs already. Well Ok, nearly a full team ..........

<_<

That just confirms the validity of the other article about us on the NOTW. The paper is not worth wiping your backside on...

As long as we stay out of the throwing money away business im quite happy to stand by and watch them all kill each other (moneywise of course).

My brother-in-law is a big Leicester City fan, I asked him last season about Fryatt. His opinion is that Fryatt is garbage, fair enough he scored a load of goals last season, but the couple of years before in the Championship he was useless. My brother-in-law reckons that the lower half of the championship is about his level - he apparently only scored 6 or 7 goals for the previous two seasons combined

So if even a Leicester City fan doesn't think he's good enough, I don't know why we would want to waste c?1M on him.

Rasiak springs to mind i no that was only a loan deal but expect the unexpected !

we do need to bolster our attack deffo but i doubt this lad can cut it at the highest level

I think the fact that his former manager doesn't think he is worth ?5m speaks volumes

the sell on clause of 50% doesn't help either

from their point of view they'd prob be best off letting him run his contract out than sell him and get c?ck all

According to Megson on Manchester radio just now, he's not hopeful of bringing in a striker. Not clear if it's the same for an attacking midfielder too. Says he's still trying though.

He may be trying to kid someone, but doesn't sound promising.

3 weeks to go.
