Mounts Kipper Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Everything been said that needs being said about our current situation lets get some positivity back amongst the fans and the club or we will drown in a sea of our own negativity. I am finished with negatives I want the club to suceed and heres my current positives, Jay Spearing, very good debut and will only improve and is key to us getting a formation that works, the first 2 crowds at the Reebok quite respectable and we have some big clubs to visit who could help to produce some 20k plus crowds, we also have some good players still to come back into the squad and we will improve. Lets get behind the players and create something special again we have done it before and we can do it again, quite a few will remember when we were at our lowest ebb and most of our vociferous fans de-camped to the Lever end in the 80s just to try and get a positive atmosphere I remember it well around 5000 on sounded like 20,000 and it definitely inspired the players and created a positive vibe which I am sure helped with the resurgence of our club in the early nineties. Time to stand up back the team and you just never know. Quote
stevieb Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Chris Eagles seems to be the Championships answer to Lionel Messi. #goalmachine Quote
HomerJay Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 im positive that as clueless as coyle seems, he and his crownies have forgot more about football than most of us will ever know. come on you god botherer, sort it out! Quote
Traf Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I'm positive that we've still got the best squad in this league. Quote
scoobydoo Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I'm positive that we've still got the best squad in this league. Nixon said this division is done in 3 sections. 1st grind it out , and scrap for points and get to the top 2nd. Have a squad to cover 40 odd games . 3rd . Then you can play your fancy football Quote
Guest Blixa Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I'm feeling positive right now because Mick McCarthy isn't in charge. I remember Wolves collapsing in a derby with WBA last season, which prompted his departure. Complete humiliation. Also remember him going more or less a full season at Sunderland without a win. It's the equivalent of turkeys voting for Christmas. See also: Peter Reid Alex McLeish Phil Brown Every other candidate who will give us the time of day When you think about that, Coyle's a ray of sunshine. That's my positive spin. Oh yes - and the fact that the season is 10 minutes old, half the team haven't got to grips with this league, some aren't yet fit and given time, we'll do alright. Unless the bedsheet brigade intervenes in the meantime. Quote
miamiwhite Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 our under 18's are looking rather dandy this season Quote
w/h white Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Holden and Wheater will soon be back........ Quote
Juan.Kerr Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I'm positive a good "number 2" will kick some arses, wobble some heads and get us on the right track. But it needs to be quick, and it needs to get shut of OCs mates. Quote
little whitt Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Holden and Wheater will soon be back........ be like new signings Quote
miamiwhite Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 at this rate, the old school on here will be here to stand up at all away games next season Quote
anewman Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Can't be positive with that shit in charge Quote
paulhanley Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 There's nothing positive about conceding two goals per game as a matter of course (three on Saturday). Until it is sorted, we are f*cked. That's the bottom line. Quote
derek smalls Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Andrews looks like he could do a job for us, We have in both home games played some chuffin good football Eagles has found his level and looks like he will score a pan full. Surely the right defensive blend will appear if he keeps shuffling the pack Nobody left in the transfer window New signing looks a belter. Surely we can't have any more bad luck with injuries? Quote
no balls Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Can't be positive Corrected for you. I'm positive this is now correct. Quote
Hutch Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Best stadium in championship, crowds not too bad at moment Wheater to return, Eagles found his level, decent squad overall Under performing CYL who will get better Attractive job for the next manager we get...we will be going one way only with someone who knows what he is doing Stability with chairman and owner Quote

Time to stand up back the team and you just never know. i'll try and help with some positives for you pal,but may be sticking my neck on the line with this. at the moment everybody is totally and rightly so pissed off with Owen Coyle and the side's mediocre start. Instead of getting on their backs against Watford, let's give the players a tremendous ovation when they emerge from the tunnel and back every move and pass they make, and not get on their backs instantly when they make an error. Who knows,a bit of reverse pyschology may do the trick. The players certainly won't be expecting a warm reception and will be rightly nervous before the game, probably dreading going onto the pitch. A positive reception will be greatly appreciated by the players and staff alike, who knows, the good vibes may spread on the pitch, after all we are the all important 12th man. I'm one of Coyle's fiercest critics but even i'm prepared to give the man another roll of the dice. After all, everybody got a semi-on when he left turf moor for us. He initially did well with the side he inherited but has clearly struggled to mould his own side yet. Some decent stuff has been played at home up to now,and with the key piece to the jigsaw now in place, things may just start to click in the right direction. The team needs time to gel,get used to the championship, not take things for granted and be settled. Hopefully over the next 12 days,we'll start to do so in training and put this into action against Elton John's second biggest toy. A good performance against the Hornets could kickstart our season, the international break could be just what we need to re-organise and get motivation. Failing that,im stuck for ideas, and if we lose then the players and management should be aware of the negative response from the fans, and the Reebok pitch should be invaded with the players chased off the pitch and out of Horwich. ONE GOOD VICTORY WITH TREMONDOUS BACKING IS WHAT WE NEED,LET'S GIVE IT 100%,IF NOT AT LEAST WE CAN SAY WE TRIED !!!! Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 The ticket office is superb Quote
stevieb Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 We have adidas as our kit sponsor rather than the shite designs those amateurs at Reebok have churned out in recent years Quote
Zico Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 once upon a time, under the current regime, we managed to play like this, so, relatively speaking, we may do again in the championship http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFzEosqzsw0 Quote
Whites man Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 We only have to finish 6th to get in the play offs. Quote
stevieb Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 The drums are a great idea Sarcasm is still rife on this board. Quote
