PrestonNobber Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Gonzo are they all numpties, pool fans or is this an elite squad? They're ALL crayon eaters, every single one of them. See post #10 of that thread, for example. Backs to the wall next week lads, they're going to try & bum you to within an inch of your lives. Quote
gonzo Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Gonzo are they all numpties, pool fans or is this an elite squad? Theres a lot of numpties mate, but some are ok! The older boys don't like us for obvious reasons as they were around at the time and remember a proper rivalry with us and the young kids latch on to that. All the lads my age have been watching em in the lower reaches all their lives, and honestly couldnt give two fucks about us,its the nobbers they dont get on with. They get pissed off with the new breed that jumped on the bandwagon when they went up the other season etc. Quote
Sweep Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Gonzo, do any of the young 'uns need chucking down a flight of stairs? Quote

I remember being in south manc a few years ago when I were talking with these lads who were Blackpool, found out I was Bolton and went spastic about going on like they were their that day even though they were no older than mid twenties??? Can't help feel that the tinterweb has helped reignite this. Quote

Can't help feel that the tinterweb has helped reignite this. It has mate, without doubt. But the worse party of all for kicking it all off IMO is the Blackpool Gazette, they bring it up at every single chance they get. Remember when them lads on a day out from Bolton smashed up the train station a few years, the lads involved had fuck all to do with football, yet in the gazette report it still managed to include 'Blackpool has a dark history with Bolton, after the first murder in English football' ...blah fucking blah.No need for it whatsoever. I always got stick for Bolton at school, with a few mentions of the stabbing, but that had obviously come from the parents, but most of it was fuck all to do with it,I was in scrap after scrap at school untill nobody ever mention anything! All of a sudden when I was about 18(coinciding with the birth of internet forums) it all started kicking off about it. One little cunt in his 40's who kicks around all the pubs in Bispham with a massive flag singing Blackpool songs after every game started at it,murderers this murderers that. I was getting a bus home from my old local to where I live now once and he spotted me and started calling me murderer infront of the entire bus on a Sunday tea time...wrong move. Got to Ashfield road and he made an untimely exit from the bus and ended sprawled all over the Zebra Crossing. Same cunt was marching past our gaff shouting his fucking Blackpool songs pissed up at half 12 at night, waking my little lad up who was new born at the time so I hurtled an ornamental candle out of the window and then chased him down the street in my boxer shorts! haha Talking to my Dad who moved here around 1980 when wounds were still very much open,he says it was hostile to say the least,in town in particular in town, with doorman all over accents etc. It works both ways with the sudden uprising of it all,I saw a gang of yoof away somewhere last season singing 'what shall we do with a Blackpool basatard'...Id honestly in all my life watching Bolton heard our fans sing that. Id heard the Ivy round the door song a few times sung between older lads in Europe and late night boozers in Bolton, but never en masse or anywhere near the ground in fact. Its all the internets fault...and that Steve Cavanagh cunt from the Gazette. Quote

A bit different was the Ben article regarding the sweet green Munich thing, they sent the articles to official man yoo Twitter and a big fans group. Now to me in other walks of life that could be seen as conspireing to start a potential riot? As I'm guessing the likelyhood of dmbs finding out about this story would have been minimal, plus the story was a non starter with a sensationalist headline. You are right as you still do occasionally hear the ivy songs and other round these parts. Quote

paulhanley Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Its always the same with these bell-ends. I am from Bolton, therefore I am a murderer in their eyes. With the exception of a few who will have known or are related to the deceased it's fake grief. In large part this comes down to the fact that they spent 29 years in the lower divisions from 1978 to 2007. Subconsciously they feel the 1974 incident is a connection to a long ago day when English football took Blackpool a bit more seriously. They look up to Bolton. They wish they were more like Bolton. Deep down, they know they're chicken shit. If they stop us getting in to the play offs on Saturday, they'll celebrate wildly - which will emphatically show that they are chicken shit in the Bury category. League One is calling. It's not going to be this year, it might not even be next - but its a magnetic draw on Blackpool and when it does, normal service will have been resumed. Quote
