tomski Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 These firms aren't good, but are legal and people can choose to use them or not. No issue if they are the sponsor for me. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 We've had a gambling firm, then a loan firm to sort out the gambling debts, only thing left is the Samaritans Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Looks like the company we employed to seek partners in the U.S. have come up trumps you just never know they might be interested in buying the BWFC franchise in the future. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Just google them they started life as a single pawn shop in the80s and now have 1000 shops all over the world. Quote
frank_spencer Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Not so much an issue with the company itself, more how it'll look, for me Quick Quid on the front of our kits will cheapen the 'image' of the club. Just my opinion of course. That said if it's a good deal financialy for the club then my complaints are lessened. Quote
Naytch Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 With the amount of companies turning over fucking millions and billions in profits every year, I would have thought sponsoring a Championship club with a fairly high profile that had been in the top flight for 10 years would be worth £500,000 for 2 years. Cheap cunts the lot of them. Get Amazon to do it, with all that money they have saved by paying fuck all taxes Quote
TheWanderer1958 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 In an area of high debt and social depravation the football club that represents our town gets into bed with a company that sets out to exploit the poor and most vunerable in society all because they can stump up a few more quid than another less vile company? Bolton Wanderers you bunch of absolute cunts...... Of course it is legal and all that, but fucking disgusting..... Bed sheet being spray painted....... Quote
Carlos Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Spot on. Scutters, if you really need £100... take your 58" TV to the pawn brokers. Quote

DirtySanchez Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Spot on. Scutters, if you really need £100... take your 58" TV to the pawn brokers. Then they'd only complain about the 'extortionate' interest needed to buy it back Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 heres what bugs me about complaints against payday loan companies, they offer a service of you borrow X amount for X amount of days, when those days are up there is an agreed amount you pay back, if you are in such a place in which you need to borrow from these then you agree to pay the agreed fee back, people can bang on about the extortionately high interest but its not hidden it is there in black and white, the payday loan companies are a business doing what all businesses strive to do, make money. If you cant afford the agree repayment then tough shit sell your plasma tv like someone has already said. They can stick their logo all over our shirt if it generates the club some revenue. Roll On August. Quote

Take Hunt Off Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Bolton Wanderers spout on about being a 'community' club yet they seem quite willing to take releatively (compared to their massive wage bill) small amouts of sponsorship cash from loans sharks . The gambing sponsorship was quite a low achievement for a then premiership club , but this deal has bottomed even that & even though I might be unable to do anything about the situation I can register a protest by failing to renew my season ticket for the first time for 25 yrs ....ok I know ,big deal but fuck em this deal is the equivalent of begging for loose change & makes the club look like its got no scruples whatsoever Quote
Carlos Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I quite like the colour of the logo. Looks like a pair of tits, just needs nipple drawing on. Quote
freds dad Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 They do a special interest rate of 1700% for season ticket holders Quote

Sweep Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I am amazed how upset people are getting. If you don't like the shirt, then don't buy one. If you don't like the fact the club have gone with what is probably the best financial sponsorship deal on the table, then don't go and watch them if it upsets you that much Whilst we might all like the club to have a local charity on the front of the shirt, it's not going to happen, especially whilst we are in debt. The people who are saying it's only a small amount of money need to give their heads a shake, as the cash from the sponsorship is an awful lot more money that we would generate for a single home league game. A community club? - it's a business and has been for a long time, no matter what image they try to portray. Quote
