Speaks to agents, picks up the odd nugget off the few managers who speak to him, chats to lower level bods at the club who might have a stray word at a reserves match etc. Put it all together and it sounds like he knows what's going on. In some respects he does in a general sense, but much of it is guesswork based on all of that. If an agent or manager doesn't call him on the day of a transfer, he's left in the cold. The Rhodes thing was the killer for me. He got sold duff info, he made it a big exclusive and was made to look stupid. He'll be all over Wigan's moves but anything related to us is secondhand info off a friendly agent at best. Quote

Before we signed Mortiz according to Nixon that was us done in the transfer market. As mentioned clearly Doogie has got one over on him and stopped any leaks from appearing from within. Well played Doogie again, i would be annoyed if all my transfer potentials, were being spouted by some 2 bit journo online for the cretins.
