Get the impression a few are rated, but Freedman doesn't want to crush their spirit and wreck their long term prospects by going from stiffs to Championship in one step and get run ragged and given a load of shit off the 'terraces'. Which is why he's keen to get out on loan - so they can do something next year. Fact is, most of our 'youth' have been crap for years. Which is why so few have them have made it through - or made it anywhere else. Quote

It isn't just us - there's a track record of teams dropping like a stone due to big money underperforming players dragging them down. Players can force a move if they really want to, not so easy to force them out the door. Quote

I've always liked owd folk like you Mounts, the sooner the younger & jcl fans realise the obvious, the sooner we can crack on. I'd just like Doogie to also realise this & get on with the re-build quicker. Cut our losses, the hardcore have seen it & survived it before, lets start moving forward now, not in 12 months time. He's shown he's all talk no action, in saying that people should be playing for places/getting rid of the dead wood, and then picking them week in week out.. Medo Moritz Eagles and Danns have been amazing last few games.. only 1 started.. One up front, which we know doesn't work, regardless. If you cant attack, you will NEVER win.. unless you have great attacking midfielders like Stelios or Taylor.. Quote
