  • If I thought he could get us back on track and challenging in this league again, I'd have Bin fucking Laden.   Getting precious about some fucking small time sectarian bullshit is a luxury we cannot

  • It's only seen as divisive by people who want to see it that way. What the fuck has he done wrong? Apart from stand up to the most vicious sectarian campaign of intimidation by people 'loyal' to somet

I'm saying that with our situation as it, they don't work often enough to take the risk right now.

Absolutely the last thing we need right now, is some bloke learning his trade with us as his classroom.

I think you are overestimating how many managers in general are considered a success based on a small sample size of bolton manager in your lifetime.

there is absolutely nothing to suggest that in the greater world of football, an experienced manager is more successful than a young manager in our situation.

I'm not fussed with demographics; young / old. Wanderers connection or not

Just no crackpots like the last few please

Someone who will train, prepare, organise and motivate

If they're good at talent attraction then that's a brucie bonus

Why did nobody else want Allardyce?

Why did Watford sack Dyche if he was any good?

We are bottom of the championship 5 points adrift of safety and without a pot to piss in. Practically we are only going to get a manager that other clubs at our level haven't gone for.

He'd never managed in the Championship. Keith Hill has.

Watford's new owners wanted their own man in charge.

Your third point is rubbish.

Really? I'll have to take your word for it, cos frankly I can't be arsed trawling through the record books

Personally I think it makes more sense to appoint a bloke who's been around the block a bit and had a bit of success.

Malky Makay for me. Straight talker. Calls a spade a spade.

Thoroughly sickening

Think that's all bases covered there Jules

All I know is that Jimmy is nowhere near any consideration for the post. Wasn't even asked to be caretaker and the club haven't spoke to him or anyone in the academy. Don't want Keith hill he worked in a similar position with Barnsley and lost his job. Think he'd really struggle.

If my texts or images sent/received I would never get employment again so don't see the big deal with everyone against Mackay

id have mackay

The one thing I could see with Malkie is that if we got him our loans from Cardiff being mysteriously recalled overnight

From what I've read from Nixon it looks like we have a list of 4 with Malky McKay and Chris Hughton being two of them.

Its not worth much but was having a look at nixon on twitter and seems you two are on the same page

On hill he said "not a job for a novice. Made an arse of Barnsley in the end. You can't take risks"

using your logic theres hundreds of managers who could be on the short list

Hi Casino, I've heard Steve Clarke is in the running too. My shortlist is Malky, Hughton, Lennon & Clarke.

Nixon also said Freedman was doing a good job and we'd not sack him.

I'm not sure why a tabloid journalist would know who is or isn't on our short list at this stage. In fact I'd bet we don't even have a list yet....

Managers who have had "a bit of success" will not be applying for a thankless task like this.

with Malc on this..

its a job for someone who's career has bombed and has a point to prove...

Wasn't the average length of a manager at a club about 18 months?

The last 3 were all over that.

Sammy Lee was "highly respected" as is Scott Green yet some people are crying out that he'd be appointed.

I'd be surprised we could afford most of the names mentioned.

Chris Hughton? Really?!!!

Inexperienced but I'd like to see Tim Sheerwood brought in.

Whooooo is Tim Sheerwood

He used to be a werewolf but he's alright nooooooooo

More likely to end up at T'Roverrrs if Venkys get impatient with Bowyer not having them in the play-off frame

Let's hope so.
