jules_darby Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I've just checked it out with my man on "the inside" and Green is definitely in for the main job I was flabbergasted He's been short listed and after being spoken to initially is a front runner with a follow up arranged. For tomorrow I think. Quote

Blondi Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Nixon has just rubbished the Scott Green rumor and Phil Brown is NOT in the running. Just saying like. Quote

Saying what most of this board have been saying. Does anyone really think we have been doing interviews when we couldn't sort out a temporary manager until late on Friday? Quote
Guest Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Saying what most of this board have been saying. Does anyone really think we have been doing interviews when we couldn't sort out a temporary manager until late on Friday? It is possible people were sounded out on the basis that it looked like they had decided to sack Freedman after yesterday anyway. But all this nonsense about Scott Green is ridiculous. No chance we are that far down the road. And no way on earth we will take a risk on a totally unproven manager unless we promote from within. Think we are looking at out of work people only. Quote
DazBob Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I'd not be too impressed with Green, but apparently he's highly rated. If he does get the gig we need to put aside our fears and get behind him from the off. Edited October 5, 2014 by DazBob Quote

If he does get the gig we need to put aside our fears and get behind him from the off. There isn't a candidate everyone will be happy with. All options now have major downsides. No doubt whoever is chosen will immediately be written off by some. Just hope that we can turn this disastrous season around and finish 4th bottom. That would be as good as it is going to get I think. Quote
