As for celeb encounters wayyyy back when I was likkle I had a kick about on a greenmount park with some older lads from the the neighborhood the bloke from the cricket club had 2 lads on United's books.

So many kids back then said they were at 'the school of excellence' I thought nowt of it.

I played against both of the cunts as a kid.  The younger of the two smashed me all over the park.

lad in goal got hold of ball and wouldnt let go cos 'they keep scoring'

anyway, one of these 7 year old kids scored about 10

all left foot, weaving in an out, brilliant he was

i do wonder what happened to him, suppose the only guarantee is hes bald at 25

Tony Evans played for us in mid 80s on loan from Birmingham.  Looked a bit like Tony Caldwell but wasn't as good.

I guess the Collins connection gives us an outside chance - but I'm fairly sure he'll follow the money. That said, if it's true we're willing to put up £900k for Randall we wouldn't be that far off the mark if we got Evans instead - and Evans can tackle.

No. Earlier than the div 4 days.  Only thing he ever did of note was score at Preston, in front of the away end. It was disallowed. 

Edit - just looked his stats up. He played 4 times in the league for us in March 85. We lost all 4
