Wheeling and dealing is fine when one and two years in to a job. When you're five years in and you're selling players you bought and lauded - that's when the change a club really needs is the manger.

We have sold one

One who wanted to go

I don't care if there's no replacement for Dion, and I wouldn't be arsed if we lost another midfielder. Might force some sort of consistency in terms of the starting 11, because none of our attackers have been allowed a decent run in the side. We're overloaded at that end of the pitch, but starting and playing for 60/70mins then getting 20/30mins off the bench in the next game is doing nobody any favours. If they're not fit enough to keep their name on the teamsheet week in week out and play 180 mins, that's another Managerial failure as far as I'm concerned. Doubt it's even on Evatt's radar at this point, but I'd be looking for another MJ Williams.

You've changed your tune from this morning ... glad you're finally seeing sense.

We've got to accept that Evatt isn't going anywhere and we'll continue to play his shitty 523 formation.

To do it better ... we need different personnel. Get rid of the deadwood and get players in that are suited to 523.

Half of our squad don't have a clue.

It's not what any of us want but it's going to happen whether we like it or not.

It’s a good point. I was considering this earlier.

I’d like to think Collins and McAtee will get a clear run for a few games now. A bit of time together might help build the partnership. And it might provide a little bit more confidence knowing they aren’t going to be turfed out of the team every other game.

Plus there’s the added bonus of Evatt not spunking millions for players who are going to need 6 months to learn his system 😊

If all our supposed '8's and '10's were added together they'd amount to over 100.

We have one midfielder with a vaguely defensive bone in his body, wing backs who can't defend and strikers who can't press. All that exposes a back three that have all gone backwards.

All that points towards announcement of another socks down baller tomorrow

Sam Cosgrove's the kind of big lump that would fit the bill based on him ruining us a few times for Barnsley.

My worry about him is he only does it against us!

Otherwise, yes, 100%

Two prem loans looking likely then, Will “Lancashire” a big lad up top from Spurs who’s been involved in the Europa & cups this season. A left sided Irish defender Alex Murphy from Newcastle as GJ has been incredibly poor since coming back.

Can I go on record as being the first person to say that these are both shit. Just in case we do sign them and they prove to be shit. So that I can subsequently claim that I was right all along.

Thanks and best wishes

Will Lankshear. Certainly fits the bill of being a big lad. As you say, had game time in Europa League, EFL trophy, on the bench a fair few times in Prem. Played for England u19s and 20s

Ties in with what IE has told the BEN this morning - first time loan big striker from a Prem club.

Knowing our luck this season Ange will get potted before he signs and the new manager will keep him to have a look at him.

Is Lankshear definitely the one? I thought maybe from the comments it could be Mubama from City now they've signed the Egyptian striker.

This bit is crucial. How will he perform under the dark cloud:

“This isn't a football club where you can afford to make mistakes or a learning ground or a learning platform this is a football club where you have to hit the ground running if you're a new recruit.

“Again, these conversations are difficult to have and we have to be pretty sure that if we are bringing in a first loan that we think they're capable of doing what we need them to do.”
