No i do not mean people like you, i once backed Evatt and thought he was the manager who would lead us to the championship at least.

Dont mind if others still back him [honestly do not]  Just did not like the abuse if opinions are not the same

Like you, I too once backed Evatt and thought he was the manager who would lead us to the championship at least.

I started to see issues in that first year in League 1 but was happy as you could see there was improvement with every new signing.

In the 3rd year those issues i saw before started to get worse, yes we were doing well on points but there were issues with how we'd fold over for the other decent teams, this is when the very first of us started calling for a Plan B, so that we could try and get something from these kind of games.

We didnt get it and for the first half of the 4th season, it didnt matter so much as even though we were losing to the decent teams, we were getting so many points from the rubbish ones it didn't matter.

This is when the problem happened in January 23, those rubbish teams started to find ways to get points from us, they realised that by sitting back and trying to snatch a point wouldn't work, so they got aggressive and pressed. This is when Santos started to go down hill and mistakes crept into our formerly strong defence.

This season Evatt has attempted to fix these issues but has failed and now we look weaker than ever. The issues never changed vs those good teams, and the Plan A 2.0 or whatever he called it made us weaker vs everyone.

Players performing poorly and mentality etc that keep getting brought up are a red herring or a scapegoat. Designed to manipulate the fans, so that blame can be shifted away from Evatt.

Can't think of any on here. Some still hold a little hope that he may still turn it around but most of us have (reluctantly?) accepted that is highly unlikely. If you're talking about people like me then I just don't see the point of ranting and raving; writing essays about tactics; and saying they wanted him out 18 months ago. There is really nothing we can do realistically no matter what people like @Zog1 believe, so we hope for the best and try to keep our blood pressure down.

If we don't let the board know how we feel, he'll be here as long as they are or until the money runs dry.

The club uses a scraping tool on here to get semi structured data into a noSQL database from which fan sentiment reports are generated.

By all means be critical of performances, tactical decisions, etc, but stop looking for any possible way to criticise the fella. It can’t be a good way to live

It's always difficult with loans, the parent club is entitled to hang on till late in the month before letting them go, in case they suddenly get a couple of key injuries and have to change tack. Quite possible we'll get a defender and a striker but might be in the last week or so of the window.

Then they will know that we're supporters who can't really agree on anything at all and even if a thousand of us wrote the same thing here it wouldn't carry the weight of the least powerful voice in the boardroom. If and when they decide to bring the curtain down on Evatt's time it will have exactly zero to do with opinions on here. As I'm sure you already know we're all vile druggy thugs anyway.

Aye, neil made it quite clear where we fit in

He doesn’t. He’s now part of the world where everything, including inflation and the weather, is Evatts fault.

I will remind you when it doesn’t happen then . smoke and mirrors you think a premier league player is dropping to league one 😂 . It’s spin will be a u21 player at best with a league cup appearance oif were  lucky he should of said from a premier league club if it turns out to be the case

yeah but imagine, just imagine he has the impact of Connor Bradley.

mind you i’d take Ella Toone, i’d pay her fines when she’s scores and disrobes (admin feel free to delete if inappropriate)

To do a turn with his old man on guitar in the platinum suite then back to Liverpool to play for them.

Rumour quashed today by Marc Iles in the BN.

Bradley, Trafford, Maghoma all did

Of course it’ll be an Under 21. Who do you think he’s referring to? Haaland?

£1.200,000 for Randell. Evatt is not only ruining us football wise he is also bankrupting the club

Same. Clean slate for them all as soon as Evatt goes.

Have to give the bloke time of course, but he's going to have to be very good, and fairly soon to justify that lay out.

I think it's hard to blame players for the fee the they were bought for but I get what you're saying!

Was just going to say exactly that. It's not his fault we've bought him.

I'm sure he's a more than capable player but I just don't think he was our priority this window.

Even less so after that defensive shambles today 🤦‍♂️

Indeed- not his fault.

We paid it though and fans will rightly expect good levels.

Unfortunately, we won't see any of it, from anyone, until we have a new manager.

The relationship has broken.

Nobody is blaming the player; it’s the amount of money we paid

it wasn't £1,200,000

So you’re now agreeing with me . You said

He said this morning he was looking at a premier league defender on loan. He didn’t say there wouldn’t also be astriker

all I said was we wouldn’t be signing a premier league player which a under 21 player isnt it’s spin to try and deflect .

Evatt isn’t bankrupting that club. He can only spend money he’s given permission to spend.

Financial responsibility in the club falls on the owners.

Maghoma, Trafford and Bradley were all under 21 players from premier league clubs. We’re looking at a striker and a defender from premier league clubs. They’ll almost certainly be under 21.

Evatt is asked questions and answers them with the knowledge he has at that moment in time.

The fella is struggling, but I think you’re looking for any reason possible to try and criticise him. Crack on. But it’s not my way.

Well, he actually didn't say anything at all as there were no quotes in Iles' article

And even Iles only wrote that it would be a "top flight youngster"
