gonzo Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 ^^^ 2 stone in weight To be fair to him the weight he put on in the summer appeared to muscle. Exactly what he needed and not an easy thing to do along with keeping cardio vascular in check. He's just a big massive fanny and has the touch of a rapist. Quote
Blondi Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Felipe Morais has signed until the end of the season. He doesn't sound very Portuguese btw. Edited February 2, 2017 by Blondi Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Suppose it depends on the bid, maybe it was a loan bid but we would only sell Or whilst most don't like him, as a player he has a value and the bid didn't meet the powers that be's valuation of him I see what you're saying but even the opportunity to get wages off the books (in full or part) and free up a place would surely have been of interest. Not sure what his value would be at the moment- is he out of contract in the Summer?- either way its not going to be a lot. IF someone did show an interest on balance we'd have benen better off giving him a free transfer, which would allow the other club the opportunity to give him a bit more to improve the deal to him. Didledee Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Looks to have decent technique is he a winger or a playmaker? Wiki says winger, looks like he doesn't score many, not sure if he get's many assists, can't find any stats for that. edit, well here's this https://widthofapost.com/2016/12/16/who-is-the-bradford-city-king-of-assists/ Edited February 2, 2017 by Didledee Quote
whiteboy Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 So I don't have all the stats, There is more to life than stats Yank. When on song he's an exciting player to watch, capable of making things happen in and around the box - or scoring 25 yard free kicks (they don't count according to you!) Overall it's a tough shout, I'm still not convinced he's ever been firing on all cylinders like he was at the start under Lennon - lot of injuries, and he isn't really suited to our current style or even the physicality of this league. We obviously need the cash but there is definitely a chance he could turn out to be worth significantly more than the price we got for him. Quote
Didledee Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Scoring penalties IS exactly as easy as I think. You've got 192 square feet of goal to hit, and only one person in the way. So why do Ronaldo and Messi miss them? They're easy if the keeper and pressure ain't there. Some goalkeepers are just unbeatable Edited February 2, 2017 by Didledee Quote
Blondi Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Looks to have decent technique is he a winger or a playmaker? Defo right winger. Bradford fans seem to think he's not been the same player since an injury. Maybe he just needs a fresh start? Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Just been reading a bit about 'our viv'; Rowett described him as the fastest player at the club at the time. Sounds promising, can play on the left too. Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I know but you started it by discounting his penalty record and ability to score from set peices and bringing your nan into it But you can see his value to us this season? Could've been worth more than 3m in the long run Fuck it I didn't discount his penalty record, I said that if you don't count them in his total he's scored the same as Madine. The real question here is how difficult penalties are considered. I may have oversimplified them, but they're certainly easier to score than a goal from open play (The grandma thing was probably a touch too far though). I haven't seen Zach play as much as you all have, for obvious reasons, but whenever I've seen him he seems very immobile but with good feet. That isn't what you need in League 1. He could turn out to be a worldbeater, but I think if we look back in 10 years, 2.5m which "saved" the club will look like VERY good business. There is more to life than stats Yank. First up, you don't know me (so please don't pull out the Yank comments). Bolton born-and-bred, who just happens to live and work overseas. Secondly, I didn't ever say that the free kicks didn't count. See above reply to Zico - we may live to regret this, but I don't think we will. Edited February 2, 2017 by SnoopJohnnyJohn Quote
Carlos Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I've had a watch of the interviews, Chris Long impresses, he'll be better than proctor, Phil Morris talks about being hard working, so an upgrade from Chris Taylor, this Viv character looks really promising. ALF has goals in him and these guy look to offer more creativity than the duckeggs we've let go. Quote
Rizlar Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 All in all really happy with these signings quick direct players and all 4.of them can score goals good business by Pp and KA championship here we come. Quote

Morizio Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Le Fondre really wanted to come and play at Bolton Wanderers. Fucking brilliant. Quote

gonzo Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Feeney is everything we've been missing all season. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I'm quite excited by our new signings. Watching ALFs goals back from last time he was here, he gets across his man very well to poach goals. We've missed that badly this season, it's something we've not had since ALF. Also pleased we have got a couple of genuine wingers too. Square pegs in square holes at last Quote
Ani Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 We still only have 1 decent midfield player. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 We still only have 1 decent midfield player. Osede needs a chance. I also understand the dislike of Thorpe but I think he's not that bad and does a job, Spearing is the stand out midfielder and I have to admit we could have done with some fresh talent in midfield especially with Pratleys injury.
