Zico Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 It won't be a fire sale it'll be no new contracts Let's just hope spearing wants to play for the club It's probably undisclosed to krep the likes of Heathcoates at bay which is fair enough End of the day I get it I just thought we didn't have to sell this window and hoped we'd get to the summer to see if we needed to sell, ie get pronoted We've Def got weaker losing clough and Ameobi so it's frustrating particularly as ones only gone to forest and the other won't get a game at Newcastle Just hope, like we all do, the lads who come in make us a stronger, and that this sale isn't attributed to the ongoing deano saga Quote
Horwich Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Question for everyone Are we stronger or weaker than when the transfer window opened? Quote
tomski Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Question for everyone Are we stronger or weaker than when the transfer window opened? Time will tell. It feels weaker at the moment. I'm hoping for a curcic/frandsen effect of some sort though. Quote
tomski Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Do we really need to keep playing Madine? His hold up play isn't even that clever, let alone the fact he is a shambles in front of goal Is ALF for Madine with 3 behind (including Vela) that much of a stretch? I hope we change it up top. Madine is useless Quote
Spider Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Question for everyone Are we stronger or weaker than when the transfer window opened? Weaker No doubt about that But the issue is necessity over choice I think. If the bills are piling up, we're in survival mode. I know people will argue that promotion is our way out of trouble but that annot be guaranteed even with Clough in the side. Therefore, the money people who don't give a fuck about football just see an offer of £2/3million on the table for an "asset" that could snap any day. I wasn't a footballing decision, as shit as that is. Quote
Latham8WFC Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 On the face of it would seem weaker, but 7 points from 6 games tells its own story. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Most? Really?Looking at the list on BBC site other than loans or free the others are listed as undisclosed Thought these days most were but it was journalists who put a price based on what they had heard A bit like wages as I don't think that usually gets disclosed Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Stronger, hopefully. With ALF's goals, more options up front , not having Chris Taylor up as automatic first sub and a proper winger instead of playing an ineffective Clough there, hopefully stronger. I can only think Clough was told he had to go to help/save the club or why else would he have joined Forest. Quote
Ruba Mustafa Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 On the face of it would seem weaker, but 7 points from 6 games tells its own story. Exactly Defo stronger. Hold onto your hats lads coz we're going up! (Possibly) Quote
bwfc2003 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Question for everyone Are we stronger or weaker than when the transfer window opened? Weaker Lost Sammi and ZC Replaced with a couple of kids and a "goalscorer" who has hardly been prolific in last couple of years Quote

Morizio Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 The goalscorer hasn't been getting game time and it's also at a lower level. He's going to score fucking loads. Cheer up you miserable cunts. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'd say we are stronger more based on the fact we now have the option of playing quickly on the break especially away from home now we have some real pace up top. Part of the reason for our dodgy form is the opposition manager have known for weeks which personnel will play and what system we will employ. It has got stale and predictable. Time to change a bit and go again. Quote
frank_spencer Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'd say weaker as I don't know enough about Long or the lad from Brum. It's shitty to have lost clough for what seems like a pittance but needs must. Hopefully Sweaty Ken and Parky can get a couple more loans in in the next week or so. Quote

Dont think thats possible any more - emergency loan system doesnt exist now (I think) All we can take on is anyone out of contract Quote
kent_white Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 We had a number of players who were arguably too good for this division - Beevers, Wheater, Spearing, Clough and Ameobi. We've just lost 40% of them and replaced them with maybes. To me - that's weaker. Time will tell though. Quote
Guest Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Not many sellable assets left. Fire sale of trotter for 20 quid for example Do humans have tallow? Quote
Arrested development Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Difficult to say whether we are stronger as we don't know much about long and this new lad from Birmingham. Clayton can come in the side to replace Clough, who wasn't in the best of form anyway. We also now should be able to be better at changing tactics with better bench options. The main problem is the amount of loan players we have now. By my count it's A.Taylor, Thorpe, Le Fondre, Long, Henry, Otabor. I think the rule is max 5 loan players in the match day squad, so one of them ain't getting in the squad. Quote
Horwich Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Ive no problem if we had to sell to pay the bills. Although could we have sold ZC in the summer? Still not sure why undisclosed Quote
Blondi Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Question for everyone Are we stronger or weaker than when the transfer window opened? I wouldn't say weaker yet, the kid from Brum is supposed to be a great talent so, fingers crossed he's a Ameobi replacement. Sad to see Clough go, but delighted ALF is back. Time will tell in the next few games if we're weaker. Quote
mickbrown Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 It's what we do. We (the fans) over value our players. The club are a set of fannies when it comes to negotiations. We're always over a barrel Probably a combination of all three. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Ive no problem if we had to sell to pay the bills. Although could we have sold ZC in the summer? Still not sure why undisclosed Undisclosed is pretty common, isn't it? It'll be to do with the structuring of payments and potential future triggers. Or, if you're a bell end, to do with sparing the chairman's son a ribbing on social media. Quote
Horwich Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I thought undisclosed was common to possibly stop other clubs knowing what you have to spend. Seeing we cant buy anyone, it just seems a bit strange. Quote
tarian1979 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 If the birm kid was a great talent he'd be in their no wins in ten d ogshit side take as given Quote
