Fulham sniffing around Dapo. What’s a decent deal for both clubs - £2m plus Fossey?

I think that'd be a great deal for us to be honest. We'd need to be demanding the bulk of that£2m up front if not all of it. However I suspect any deal of that kind would see us getting a fee more in the £1m- £1.5m range. I think we got him on a free so hopefully West  Ham aren't entitled to chunks of any fee.

If we sell I'd like to us invest half of the proceeds in to his replacement and the other half in to our defence.

Thing is its March 10. Summer speculation this early is often meaningless.

I don't think they'd be interested that much where they're going, he's a great player but he's not Fulham standard just yet.

Top work from Evatt - already in the press making it clear that if you fancy coming after our players then you better be offering big money. Set our stall out, we don’t need to sell, gone are the days when we take what we can get, offer big or fuck off.

Fulham are going to be playing in the premier league

i'll be very suprised if Dapo is a transfer target for them

Maybe they’re planning ahead for their inevitable relegation back to Championship

I would want a lot more the way premier league clubs through money about think Fulham’s wage bill alone is 30 million in the championship so we need to nail them with a heavy price tag once they go up they can afford it .
As for fossey is he not out of contract in the summer ?

He is out of contract next summer yes. This is why i wanted to gauge peoples opinion of what would represent a reasonable deal for both clubs rather than what each of them are worth.

If we flogged for Dapo for a straight £2m, up front, no add on's etc and we got Fossey, again with no add on's, for me that's a very good deal which Fulham can easily afford and we do very well out of it too

Transfers aren’t dictated to what league the buyer and sellers are in.

Remaining Contract length x salary x the market

Throw in BWFCs investment to date and what it will cost to replace him and what effect it could have on the club progressing on and off the field  , then the profit margin and there’s your valuation

The likelihood of their interest is very much governed by that though, surely.

They won’t be signing players from mid-table League One teams if they’re planning on staying in the Premier League, particularly as he’ll be 25 not long after the start of next season.

It’s probably how they see his potential. I personally think he has bags of it, and just because he’s a league one player doesn’t make him a league one player. Do I see him winning the balon d’or nope, but as wide man in a lower league side of the prem or a championship side chasing promotion I think he could be an excellent signing.

If he was 4/5 years younger then I’d go along with that, but I’m not sure how much more improvement there can be given his age and relative lack of experience.

if they go up i would say £5m

that's still fuck all for a prem club

+L1 to the prem is a big leap

Obv Fulham are a London club back home but there's no way they give him any real game time in the prem next season unless they want to buy him just to loan him out to the championship? Seems like waste of time for Fulham if that's the case unless they think they can get him off us dirt cheap to make a quick profit

Fulham aren’t buying Dapo if they’re in the prem. No way.

If he goes, then it’ll be to a Forest/Boro etc. who usually have a bit of cash and might fancy themselves for having a push towards the top end of the champ next season.

No sane human being would go to live in Middlesbrough while there were alternatives.

Fulham are up there’s no two ways about it.

IE has just put Dapo in the shop window to get any interested parties getting their reddies, err well ready.

Selling 101 make it known you’ll listen to offers

Or in our case, how desperate we are for cash

We'll get bummed again no doubt

If the cash is good off he goes

Even at today's fuel prices, I'd drive him to Fulham for £2m plus Fossey

Not a serious target anyway. They are going up, and won't be looking to fill positions with L1 players. They will be looking to spend more than £2M plus. I think it's just as likely that they want Fossey back than take Dapo.
