We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Max Wilcox midfielder gone from our youth team to Brentford B.  No idea if we get cash.

We should receive training compensation.

We’d released him so would that still apply?

Hes the son of Jason ex blackburn. Lives in Worsley, if he ends up as good as his old fella then there’s a player there somewhere.

Maybe not.

We rejected him too, iirc

I'd be happy to worry about that when/if it happens.  If an Ipswich or Sheff Wed signed Stockton I'd immediately think their chances of finishing above us had improved, I don't think they'd be concerned if they had to sign someone different if they went up.

I don't think we can do that going off past teams who've gone up and come straight back down to L1, I'm sure IE would rather gradually build knowing we can hold our own in the higher leagues to keep the fans happy and on side.

I think most folk on here could bag in the Irish league

Could be a good season for them few decent signings

Amazing. He's only 33. Should still be at Division 2 level, minimum. No lack of skill, I wonder if it's a commitment issue.

Surprised we've not had a fixture lined up against them this pre season

My guess, going off how I'd feel, if I'd done it in the top 2 divisions but no longer at that level, I'd rather fuck off a tough pre season at L2 and play for fun at a lower level.

Can't imagine he's short of a few quid

Barkhuizen gone to Derby

Can't say I was ever that bothered about signing him

10k a week no surprise. As Evatt says those chasing money aren’t for us.

I know the takeover has happened, but I get the impression all isn't properly well just yet.

He must be confident his wages will he paid though.

Transfermarkt reckons he hasn’t played in over a year

Chung Yong Lee only turned 34 today.

We've "missed" out on Tucker, Fossey, now Bark... probably a couple more too that I'm missing. That being said can't say I'm arsed about it. Tucker obviously wanted to stay down south, Fossey/Fulham/Agent pushing for more than initially agreed, Bark was pissing everybody about & probably was promised a bigger wage than Evatt was willing to give in to to. All move on now, see who pops up & fits into our philosophy. Not sure about a striker who was talked about playing as a wing back like Bark was for us.

Early reports of Bradley suggest Fossey isn't a big miss either. Look forward to seeing what the lad can do in a league game
