Promising kid and I reckon he'll do well for Argyle once he's used to this league.

As for us, we're left guessing as all the targets are apparently already identified - and there's no chance in hell we'll be bidding £1million for anyone - have you been reading all that nonsense about how rich we supposedly are? We're in the £150k to £300k at a push category.

Meant Waine being replacement for Hardie or Whittaker not that you’d be bidding for latter,

50k might get Hardie as out of contract in summer

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Id be happy with Hardie.. wouldn’t sell to a rival league 1 club would you.

Andy Walker type tbh, been there, done it and on the wind down.

Walker was 26 when he signed for us and played on another 6 years after he left, hardly veteran status. If I recall he scored lots of goals early in his career but lost form and fell out of favour at Celtic.

I do agree that if we could sign the equivalent of Andy Walker we should, because he was fucking awesome.

Crikey, what’s your definition of on the wind down?!

26 when he was with us!!

Arguably at his peak! 😂

It’s almost a once in a generation kind of signing.

If managers could just go and sign players of this ilk on a whim it would make football managing a piece of piss! Reckon I could give it a go 😂

All credibility gone if that comment is serious.

Walker was our Pele - Of course that would be the answer to all our problems, everybody of a certain age knows that! 😂.

How shit must Evatt be not managing to find somebody like that 😂

Daryl Murphy and Andy Walker described in the same sentence!!!!!

Not as silly as Andy Walker being likened to Pele

Nixon now saying Tom Eaves.

Must just be working his way through a list of former players.  Will be Delf next.

Hope not… another non scoring striker.

Still the best finisher I’ve ever seen play for us.

Loved and adored by a generation.

He was worth the entrance fee alone.

Its all about the context.

Wasting my time…. you’ll never get it.

Aye Walker the best finisher I’ve seen

Yes, absolutely terrific finisher Andy Walker but wasn’t it because he was recovering from a serious injury that we were able to pick him up? What wouldn’t we give for another Walker/McGinley partnership up top. Halcyon days those.

He was a good finisher but Anelka was sheer class and youri.

Eaves has looked a handful the few times I’ve seen him play and he is prolific compared to a striker we currently have.

id be ok with this. He has a real physical presence which we often lack

He got his serious injury playing for us when he did his cruciate

In real terms you are probably right.

But as a teenager (albeit top end one in 92 😊) there was just something magical about Walker - back then it was him, birds and booze that got me excited. (The order would change on a sliding scale throughout the week)

I suppose you have to be of a certain age to understand my morning nostalgic ramblings, or hungover, still pissed from a New Years Party 😂

Also linked with Dan Nlundulu by Nixon. Southampton striker on loan at Cheltenham. If I recall rightly had a good game against us at their place.

I wanted us to look at him last season but he obviously had championship clubs willing to give him a contract, he was dynamite for Gillingham in L1 for a period & like you say he's a real handful who's willing to get real physical. He also managed to spearhead Hull out of this league the other season they won it although his numbers weren't anywhere near as good as at Gills, they were obviously happy with the other aspects he brought to the team., he relies on services though & we only start to put crosses into the box when we're desperately chasing a game at the end. 0 goals in 17 this season but I don't know where fans want us to get a prolific striker, there aren't no standouts within budget so we're going to have to go the way where we get some champ cast offs in hope we can revive them. End of the day Eaves would deffo be an upgrade on Baka if we're planning on moving him on.

I was 32 then when Walker was playing for us but his combination with Mcginlay was brilliant also Taylor was a good finisher from around that period .

Surely it’s Chris

Crikey, don’t usually like slagging anyone off who plays/played for us, but he was a bad-un
