I still don't see him being No 1 for a championship side next season, I'm really not seeing the amazing keeper I keep reading about. He's good for us, no more, no less, not championship level for me yet, put simply I need to see more good saves. Rather than the type of goals Charlton have scored against us (home and away), and those at Plymouth, Shrewsbury etc. If we don't go up, I'd expect him to be either back here or at City as maybe 3rd choice. Happy to be proved wrong, not for the first time.

February 3, 20233 yr Bazunu's performances last season were much better than Trafford's this season, and he's really struggling for Southampton right now.

I'm not seeing him as a ball player, kicking is worse than for eg Dixon. Anyway its really not a problem, if we keep him great, if he gets a better gig good luck to him and we sign another keeper, its not like he's got 10 shots a game coming at him like Matthews had.

Apologies if I'm wrong. Trafford's kicking is average at best, I've no problem with that, he's a keeper not an outfield player. Just clear the damn thing! But not booting it into touch wouldn't go amiss.

Kicking into touch is a bloody site better than the ball staying in-field but at the feet of an opponent where our own players are unable to react quickly enough.
February 3, 20233 yr Traf deals with back passes from anywhere on the back line I can think of 2 or 3 times hes fucked up and cost us a goal. Thats prob less than most defenders Hes great for us,part of the day out as we watch the team grow, but hes not first choice at city within 3 years The likelihood is, he never will be, which is no shame
February 3, 20233 yr My only complaint would be he sometimes doesn’t get it out quicker when we could break
February 3, 20233 yr How many teenagers/early 20s do we have starting outfield? ‘Kicking’? Passing- to who, where, when… he’s the first point of attack. Watch him at the start of a game as opposed to the end, he dictates play. Quick attack, or slow it down; it’s rarely sliced into WSL. That’s what he brings to the team. As he matures, he’ll grow in confidence and reassure the defence (he ain’t bad now). He will get stronger, maybe more agile, ultimately more experienced
February 4, 20233 yr I don't think there is a shortage of half decent stoppers in league 1/2. The guy at Crewe always standa out against us. And Mitov at Cambridge looks solid when I see him. Time wasting cunt too.

Jussi was the best keeper in the PL behind Van Der Saar and Cech even though his kicks weren't straight and he went down to his knees too early too often

February 4, 20233 yr Young 'keepers these days look like they need a good feed. There's not one with the physique of Shilton, Big Nev, or even Matt Gilks. I think Trafford is still developing.
