Not really - don’t see myself as a Lib Dem, but then it’s pointless voting Labour here and I’m not a Corbyn supporter. Can’t vote for the conservatives with who now in control of the party - hearing Hammond on R4 this morning was a sad to hear how far the party has drifted from one nation values.

As I say, I’m a bit lost with where to put that cross, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

You most definitely are not

Do Mounts and Bolty have to come home to vote or do they get to send a letter from their cosy boltholes overseas?

I doubt Bolty gets a vote

I think Bolty has been away long enough that he's not allowed to vote (15 years I think when you lose your voting rights)

😂 😂 😂 😂 Comedy gold that Mounts

From the man who said we wouldn’t get any deal, nor a deal that guaranteed tariff free trade access, nor an end to freedom of movement, nor an end to EU contributions, that we wouldn’t get rid of the backstop and we wouldn’t be able to reopen the TM WA. I could go on but I’ll leave it there.

Come on mate. That’s project fear type nonsense. Sacrificing jobs and bringing hardship to their communities?

really?

expected better from you than that

Not really is it? Their austerity hit poorest communities reliant on key services hardest. It was ideological. And completely unnecessary. Thatcher destroyed many Northern communities. You can argue about the rights and wrongs of it but that is still what happened.

You now have a Tory government where most of the front bench have written about going even further down a neoliberal free market route than ever. So the evidence suggests that this government are unlikely to be anything other than rampantly pro big business.

No in my opinion it is so I stand by what I said. Thanks for the input though

It’s true, but you’ll never admit it..... still waiting for 1 thing you’ve got correct.

Okay.. Here we go.. Where did I say we wouldn't get a deal? I didn't say it so you are wrong again

Who told you we have a guaranteed FTA? Wrong again

Where did I say there would not be a stop to free movement? Wrong again

We are still paying EU contributions plus £1b a year for 40 years.. Wrong again

I said that we would concede ground again if Johnson got a deal and he did.. . You were wrong again

Do I need to go on?

No please don’t. We’ve been here before, it’s tedious. Happy for other folk to decide what was and wasn’t said.

There isn’t a thing Marxist about that. Nor is it re writing any history. It’s clearly documented. You can argue the rights and wrongs of policy overall.

I personally think that what many claim they don’t like about the EU apply more to this Tory government and past ones too. We want out to help Northern and midlands working class communities. Well they have been in decline since the 80s and the shift to a finance and services driven economy. What will the Tories do to urgently address that? Absolutely nothing. You know it too. Better off arguing why that is the right thing rather than pretending otherwise.
