Been quite fascinated these last few years watching them 'perform' in the house of commons. Some clearly a lot brighter than others, some with a passion for a particular field. A hell of a lot of good done behind the scenes that we don't hear about regularly, we're generally presented with the bollocks; the posturing like weapons free gladiators in the hoc during PMQ or on certain statements. Farrelli Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Nicola Sturgeon currently outlining a strong case for Scottish Independence, I think next year's Scottish election will be very interesting. Quote
Escobarp Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 You mean the same case (less Covid references) that was made last time and rejected? Quote

Being a nationalist, she's hardly going to outline a shite case is she fella 😄 🤣 Has she mentioned the disgraceful scenes from the Piggery last night ? Or is her case today conveniently taking the limelight away from that ? Quote

Things have changed a bit since then though. I think the attempts to undermine the devolved powers by Boris (internal markets bill) and his 'devolution has been a disaster' comments are only adding to the SNP's case. Quote

I don’t think there case needs adding to really. It’s the sole reason for their existence in their current form. It’s a 50/50 call whether they win a vote on it. Biggest stumbling block will be getting it in the first place. middle of a pandemic and she bangs on about independence though. Strange timing. Quote

Tbf I dint think she’s trying to deflect from the nonsense last night. I do think she is hiding away from her perceived performance in handling Covid though. But I more so think she is reverting to type. It’s her sole purpose independence. She has no interest in achieving anything else at whatever cost. Quote

Every one to her own, though like you say, it will be tough to get the referendum again. Have you seen the pic of her when she found out she hadn't got the victory last time ? Well worth a Google 😄 Quote

Yes, EU citizens can live where they want within the EU but in Spain after 3 months you need to apply for residencia if you live there more than 183 days you should also pay tax in Spain. miamiwhite Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 OK, simple maths here. We have left.......so, the remaining nations have to contribute more. Will they turn us down for deals when they export so much to us ? Not rocket science is it.......I'm using Dennis Skinner's words by the way. Quote
Casino Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Is that the same for Spaniards living here Quote

I used to work with a Spanish bloke at my old company, he was, so he told us, allowed to live here as long as he wanted to as an EU citizen (he's now in France I think), he didn't have to apply for residency, and he only started to look into it once we'd voted to leave. Claiming residency in an EU country is simple as fuck if you're an EU citizen. Not so easy for a non-EU citizen. Of course, the level of complication varies between member countries, as each one has always had full control over its own Immigration policies. Quote
