Cameron PM - Too weak to stand up to the calls for a referendum. Too arrogant to think might lose the vote. Incompetent in running campaign. Fucked off.
May - Shambles too weak to be effective

Boris - out of his depth

question would we be in a better position with a Maggie type leader ??

Well that was clear and obvious and amazingly has just been discussed on the bbc with it being confirmed. Only opposition mps have used it as an attacking strap line and absolute gobbins lapping it up. Just a show of desperation from those incapable of acceptance

Until the withdrawal agreement was made the EU wouldn't discuss a trade deal, so no reference to it was possible.

Acceptance of what ? We all accept we are leaving but this PM won an election using lies about 'getting brexit done' and 'oven ready deal'.  They are now being exposed for what they were.  I think it is serious that we have been led to this situation with no guarantee that a deal can be struck and a only a few weeks to go.   The only gobbins are people who voted for this charlatan.

?

Makes no sense.

Which bit ? The idea that party with the majority of MPs that called the referendum ran the remain campaign and are responsible for implementing are held responsible ?

I’ve had a listen, and at no point does he say “this oven ready agreement”

he says

”oven ready deal”

He is one of England’s bestest wordsmiths, but even he looks a cunt trying to squirm out of this.

Thing is, it’s become the norm. They back-pedal so often that it barely raises an eyebrow.

We just have to hope he doesn’t try and finger the EU bird tonight or it’ll end in carnage

He's said oven ready deal from the off. Getting a deal was the oft used phrase by everyone during withdrawal agreement talks. As it is now.

As it happens, maybe he should woo Ursula and give her a rattling- might ease the tension.

This is just plain wrong. They've just run through it, and given lots of examples where it was clearly articulated that it was about the withdrawal deal. With the belief that it would pave the way to a trade deal. Get politics live on iplayer if you're not convinced.

If folk were numb enough to think differently that's their problem.

Swallowed the bullshit. Hook, line and sinker.

It's like something out of 1984 this.

It is Labours fault for being shit for over 10 years. Nothing changes theyre still shit and sadly cannot even defeat a pretty shite Tory party.

So we agree Labour have been shit so the Tories have had free reign to get this sorted.

I reckon Our Boris is hung like a horse.

He should slap his big fella on the table later, bellow something in latin like "POSUIT CIRCA HOC LABIS TUA"

Push her bowels up to her chest, leave a beermat with our trade deal on it and come home victorius.

What's that got to do with parliament failing to vote through an act?

If anything that's an example of Parliament exerting its authority, and showing that government isn't king.

Parliament isn't beholding to government and is perfectly able to hold government to account. Just as it does with tier votes etc.

The "we got a deal, a shit deal, but a deal" posts.

You said no border in the Irish Sea. There is one.

Not doing very well so far.

So if parliament exerts its authority whose responsibility is to sort things out ?

Like I said dipshit, 1984.

He's telling you what you heard 18 months ago isn't what he said. And you're lapping it up, like a good little prole

Mick squabbling like this will only delay and risk the deal. Traitor.

As a one time, lazy scholar of 1984, the concept of Doublethink has been a feature of the last few years.

There's a part in the book where an official is denouncing the enemy in a public speech, and halfway through changes the enemy to someone else. (Eastasia to Eurasia, ironically)

The crowd instantly lap it up. They know the enemy has changed, but they don't care and just hate the new enemy instead.

It's not one of Orwell's most subtle metaphors, but it demonstrates the point beautifully that if you want to believe something badly enough, your brain simply allows it to happen and convinces you it's correct
