Escobarp Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I’m not saying this is going up to end well in saying this. But I will share with anyone the financial forecasts,on a worst case basis, of some of the largest and most successfull companies in the Uk. They predict doomsday. They are not reflective of how the business is expected to perform. But they are deemed prudent so all risks can be identified. these are what the media have essentially got hold of. Quote

Spider Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I know a lad who’s a landscaper Not the sharpest tool in the box but done ok for himself. He’s very open about the fact that he thought Brexit would stop every immigrant coming to the UK. It’s why he voted for it. When asked about the deal, his exact words were “that’s got fuck all to do with me, so long as it stops the dingys (sic.)” We all want different things Quote

Of course £80K is not fuck all, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big wage. My point is, you're never going to attract the best paying that kind of wage, and surely we want "the best" or close to it running or country. I agree, we are very services oriented as a nation now, but we're not gong to massively change that now. I supply to an electronic manufacturing base, so I'd love to see an increase, but it's not going to happen to a large extent. For the record, I don't have a basic salary of £80K either 😁 Basic. Are you smelling tax man bacon haha Quote

In fact, we have already left and the amount of folk crossing is higher this year than any previous year. Quote

Basically, he’s heard the phrase “ending free movement” and assumed it means immigration will stop completely and he’ll be better off. He’s a bit racist, to be fair. Quote

He was given his vote, chose it and has been honest about it. Like you say everyone wants different. For me the dingy thing was maybe the last thought I had when voting. Quote

I have a friend who says he's 'only racist against Muslims' but then on the other hand says 'how can you call me racist, because Muslim isn't a race' 🙂 He's a nice lad in reality but he's not the sharpest tool in the box either. I think this type of retort leads to another day of going round in circles rather than debating anything. For clarity I include remoaners/bedwetters in this. Quote
