Imagine being given 4 years to complete a project and still be starting at page one with 3 days to go.

Id be sacking my project manager.

That's like me at University for pretty much every essay. 3am  deadline day, I'm sat in my pants, half pissed, scribbling away.

And I probably still looked more professional that that sack of shite

Elaborate? Please

These events will taught in history lessons in the future. Political brinksmanship and all that.

Boris reckons "no deal" would be tremendous for the UK......fair enough.....so why has he been trying to get a deal for the last four years. Its almost like he's making it up isn't it.

It’s ridiculous. Either he’s lying in saying he’s doing everything he can to get a deal or he’s lying in that statement. He can’t even remember what he’s said the day before the daft cunt

He's hardly going to say owt else at the moment.

They're still playing the game I reckon.

Wonder if it will be super Saturday (or Sunday) as they all come to their senses?

The problem now, possibly, is that somebody is going to have to been seen as having backed down, and I can't see either side willing to do that...although we can still hope that some sort of sense prevails, and some sort of compromise is met.

Maybe Cheese had been right all along, and we actually are destined for no deal 🤔

Maybe.

As dull as it seems now, those few words from UVDL might just provide wriggle room.

Obviously we're no where near what goes on, but for the life of me, I can't see why a non regression agree can't be worked up, to form the basis of mutual trade without undue detriment to either side.

This "you must follow my rules" (whoever was saying it) as a matter of routine is clearly going to be a stumbling block.

Both probably, each side is as bad as the other, though. Let's not get like Mounts and make out all the issues are on the EU side, and we've been honourable and easy to deal with all through the process. Both sides have been piss poor in my opinion

From the beginning, the EU said you accept their rules or you don't get unfettered access

Some on here and some politicians said the EU would blink

Suppose there's still time

What about. What about

We were told vote leave, there's no downsides.

From the off, the EU made their position clear, but hey, no worry, we hold all the cards

Maybe we should've stuck to happy families

The thought of no deal fucks me right off

Frankly, I dont give a fuck if in 30 years its unanimously agreed its the best thing we ever did

I'm bothered about now and the next 5 years

He's made a career of bullshitting. He ain't ever going to stop

Nicely avoided.

Your comments merely confirm what is now becoming increasingly apparent, that the EU is acting unreasonably.

More confirmation that the decision to leave was correct. An over legislated organisation.

Newsnight's reference to jocular comments about the EU's general approach to things:

"We can see how it might work in practice, but how about in theory?"

Fwiw, I'm far more concerned about the next generation and those beyond.

Maybe we should have let them vote and keep the pissy geriatrics out of it

Avoided, not a bit

I posted what they said and they've stuck to it

Its hardly a shock

They might fold 2 and 5 yet, who knows

Fair enough, personally, I couldn't give a toss about them, they can sort themselves out. I'm bothered about how it is going to affect me for the next 10 to 15 years

Saw on Newsnight. They are around 40% of our exports. We're 8% of theirs.

They've got us by the balls. Always have had.

We hold all the fucking cards.

The white flag you’ve been flying for 4 years.

You haven't put any thought into that, have you?

How so?

You are smarter than to look at those figures.

There's no guarantee that those figures would/will change

The respective economies are of different scale, so not compable

And

Doesn't take into account the trade surplus/deicit

That is the whole point. It's not comparable.

The the idea that they need us as much as we need them doesn't hold water does it?

That was how I felt when I voted, I am too old for any shock to my investments to recover. Also I reckoned that the EU had a better record regarding state health service and old age care which I am heading towards. We now have to make the most of a bad job but we are good at that aren't we?
