There is a massive problem with the standard of policing in America, this has been known for years. Because GF was black and the copper was white (There was also a mixed race cop and an Asian) this has been turned into a race topic instead of a standard of policing topic.

In isolation, I see your point. However, in the wider eye of US policing there is a clear issue.

that said, that is a major societal problem that isn't going away soon. Some argue raising issues such as this is one way to do good, others disagree especially when it ends in violence and looting for example.

To dismiss the race of GF is missing the point in this regard IMO. America has big problems.

Having thought about it, I still don't really see why Norwich of all places felt the need but at the same time I don't understand the vitriol against what is essentially a good cause.

Just because hard left wing loons support something doesn't mean the cause itself is wrong. Let's be honest, they definately support cats protection and that certainly splits this board 🙂

Personally I think it is bollocks unless the company has a genuine commitment to the cause , whatever it might be. Many years ago I worked on a share scheme that jumped on the ethical band wagon and launched a green fund, to qualify the company had to meet certain criteria. It turned out one thing you could do was make arms and export them to the third world countries. 
it is interesting that so many companies are doing it, you would think there would be an element of research backing it up. There again Tarquin and Matilda might have just come up with the idea in the local gin and hipster beer joint they go to to meet their Oxbridge mates

The death of GF became about so much more than just one murdered individual, as dreadful as that was.  It was about highlighting the fact that black people all over the world, still suffer from prejudice, discrimination and unconscious bias.

In the same way our players and others, demonstrated support for people of colour, then why shouldn't Norwich Council show similar solidarity on the 1 year anniversary of the incident that led to this whole movement?
