Now we know your taking the piss.

Not really. The base rate was actually lower as the graph shows. 🤷‍♂️

The correct reply is that interest rates in the UK pretty much follow the rates around the world so trying to lay blame or take credit is wrong.

Sealing deals with 2 massive economies is still a decent addition to anyone’s CV

especially as @bolty58did say that with Labour in power, we would be missing out on a great opportunity to make a deal, and we had no chance of sealing a deal with Trump 🙂

He did say that.

I reckon he was just fishing though. Not one to get things wrong.

Or change his mind. That’s only for the weak. We’ll skip over his new found love for Andy Burnham.

BoE Governor explains in this article why we need to rebuild trade with EU ( our largest trading partner) as it was damaged after Brexit.

It is laughable to see people like Richard Tice trying to claim Brexit has given us new opportunities without acknowledging the amount of damage that was done to our GDP by reduced EU trading and increased costs and red tape for our businesses.

At the risk of sounding like 'that', they are very, very difficult to do business with (difficult being the nicest word I could use)

What are you basing this on?

I suspect you have a very good idea. And you probably agree with him, hence the reaction to the dogwhistle. Don't be shy.

I deal with a lot of Asian owned and run plumbing merchants.

They freely acknowledge that they like to do business a slightly different way.

No problem with it personally and they’re no more aggro to deal with than paleface plumbing merchants.

Cash is king, chaps.

Do they deal in 50s or always smaller denominations?

HMRC may have a slightly different take on it than you do. :)

All denominations.

we don’t deal with cash so they have to bank transfer to us, but their customers are mainly cash…

You all palefaces then?

Disgusting.

No, but we are a big manufacturer and doing anything less than completely transparent wouldn’t work for us.

Also, we don’t need to be dodgy. We’re patriots paying MAD MAX

Good.

Presumably your customers less than patriotic then, if they are avoiding MAD MAX.

Anything brown I reckon.

Will even shove his spitfire in it.

Didn't mention skin colour once. Interesting that it's the first thing that comes to mind for the usuals.
