Working (or fighting if you're that way inclined) age men are sent by immigrant families first and have been since Adam was a lad. The Irish and Italian immigrants to America did it as did Carribbean people coming to the UK.

They are more likely to cope with the trip especially if coming through dangerous means, will find it easier to get work and be able to send some money back to bring the rest of the family over.

Turkish barbers and car washes aren't helping our economy.

We need proper economic migrants here to bolster our economy. Not scores of folk coming for our benefit system, free housing and to wash cars down Deane Road.

We need foreign students, foreign health care workers etc etc.

Unfortunately we aren't as attractive to these people as we once were. Losing swathes of Polish was a nail in the coffin.
