In summary, based on this thread:

* All our players are shite, lightweight lower league cloggers with less talent than a three legged mule, and similar fitness levels to a 40-a-day, 25stone diabetic.

* A different manager could turn them into world beaters.

* The club has no money

* The club has enough money to buy Cristiano Ronaldo really

* Meldrew is the reincarnation of Nostradamus

League 1 players don't make me laugh more like Sunday league.had enough of parky now he's out of his depth this is worse than lennons shit the last time we was in the championship.Yesterday was awful losing by 3 at home to a so called bottom 6 side!

Yesterday just got worse.

Blaming an abysmal run of form on lack of investment is an easy thing to do.

The managers tactics are to blame.

Does it really cost that much money or time, to just say to our defence and midfield to not hoof it up to Madine.

And to leave at least just 1, I mean 1 player up, when we are conceding a corner, especially at home and 3-0 down.

It's little tactics that this.

Another one, high pressure, why do we not bother, I'm not a manger, but why in gods name do we not make it hard, and press.

Instead we just go, nope, sit back and go easy on them. Literally the opposition teams have it so easy against us.

There's so many flaws in Parky's tactics, I could go all night.

When we've pressed teams they've cut us open. I'm 100% convinced our issue isn't anything to do with 'tactics'. Tactics are hugely, hugely overstated.

Not sure we look that well organised which does come to the manager's door. But also is surprising considering last season. Perhaps, we just can't cope with the quality other teams have?

Such nonsensical comments are best left unwritten.

There are no better teams, just better managed ones.

Rotherham got 23 last season, be close

That was apparantly the lowest total of any team in the 2nd tier since 3 points for a win was introduced in the early 1980s.I thought Cambridge did far worse than that when they were in freefall but they managed 24 points in 83/84

I think we would be doing better retaining all the squad that came up and not bothered bringing anyone in. None of the signings have improved us so far and the 5 at the back which we only used for a small proportion of last season isn't working either.

Sacking PP and his staff is an expensive exercise. If the club has the finances to go down this route then surely the alternative is to work with PP and bring in 3 free agent players to strengthen the spine of the team?

Posted

It will be costly sacking him and his men no doubt

The club did so well last season with season ticket sales and matchday attendances

If Ken leaves it and we go through the motions till may the arse will drop out of this club numbers wise

Season ticket prices won't go down if we drop and folk just won't come with current management

Think we know Ken doesn't want to spend money that he can't get back, so I still can't see him paying anyone off.

100%

We are stuck with PP and the present group of players - maybe a couple of journey men who cant get a club might be brought in

I was at Ipswich and Millwall and tbf we played ok'ish at both games. We need to get a bit tougher and get our injured players back; also start players were they can perform. Morais on the left wingand now at centre mid is a nonesence

There are 2 players available who will solve the biggest issue we have which is the middle of the park. Unfortunately they are looking for 20k per week. If we could bring them in we would have already done.

Let's just give up on a manager who got us promoted and is, admittedly, finding his feet at a level he is unused to.

I agree with the majority on here who have slated every single player as simply not up to the task. They aren't. And whilst I get the notion of doing the basics and having a bit of fight, that alone will not get us up the table. I could pick 11 lads off this site who would give their all but they'd probably not win so many games.

The financial situation is massive. That we cannot even afford to get Spearing back is devastating.

PP has earned a chance. If we're as good as down, let's see if he can walk on water.

I know it's a tough task but if we carry on as we are we are down with a whimper.

PP has won 8 games out of 58 in the championship. So much season left to have a go at this.

I don't want to write this season off yet. It will be tough but this team can be improved. The players look beaten by half time week in week out

As stated previously ive no dislike of pp but I fear he won't be able to turn it round

No.We need far more to be able to compete. The squad is not strong enough but I think if we had 2 strong players in midfield able to impose themselves on the game we can stay up. We are asking an attacking midfielder-Karacan and a young boy on work experience-Cullen to protect a back 4. This is not PP's choosing it is the situation we are in financially because as has been posted previously the likes of Burton,Barnsley & Millwall are in a far better position to attract players.

My major gripe is he total lack of organisation, a far from last season. I can accept getting beat but we aren't even making teams work hard for a result.

PP has to stop being loyal to last seasons mainstays who are simply not performing. Dervite has been unlucky not to play ahead of any of our centre halves.

Back to basics would be a start, not scattergun tactics

Absolutely.....with 2 strong midfielders who could give our defence some cover by imposing themselves & winning & keeping the ball, plus the return of Vela & Ameobi to support Madine, we'd have a chance.
