Crowd revenue is more significant at the bottom of the championship than it was in the premiership though. Its relative to your budget. Gate income meaningless when earning the TV millions in the top flight. In our position it isn't as meaningless.

But this idea of 20k plus crowds is fanciful. A quick wiki look says there’s ten teams in this league who get above that. They are the usual suspects of those who do anyway like derby or those who have come down

 

Bar Sheff Utd I doubt many teams coming out of league one would do so, especially ones that spend time in the bottom three

Did Eddie run BWFC well or just loan it a lot of his money? I'm not sure he ran it at all. He loaned Burnden Leisure and was majority shareholder. Certainly didn't take responsibility for decisions made though.

I realise it's difficult to attract extra fans when were at the bottom of the league, but I think the club missed a trick in close season, given  that both Wigan and Rovers were in League 1. there didn't seem to be any attempt to attract 'floating' fans from towns around Bolton. Surely our marketing department should be doing more to this end.

Our current crowd factoring in league position is probably on the high side historically .

Whether Ken is a statto enthusiast I'm not sure as he has thrown a few of his own around recently.

However I read it as prelude to a bit of a fire sale , maybe Vela & even our young keeper Turner.At the end of the day he has to juggle the books & based on last year I am not overly concerned in fact bring it on because with our current team we will be relgated a couple of loan players financed by the fire sale might improve the team.

See I don’t get this view point it seems anti ken comment to me. My viewpoint is ken will do exactly what he feels is the right call to protect Bolton’s place in the championship and protect his investment and potential return.

if a "better" club than us comes in for him for decent cash and a big wedge, then i would assume they have a good opinion of him. which i would also assume is more qualified than any of ours.
