The consequences of that would be that FIFA would suspend England, and members would ask why the UK should continue to have dispensation to field 4 separate teams, so really not something that anyone should be contemplating. I might be concerned if I gave a monkeys about international football. We're currently running round asking various allies to boycott and sanction and cause themselves harm to send a statement. I didn't know that Russia has an economy a little over half the size of ours. If countries make a serious effort with sanctions then we should be able to hurt them economically. Quote
