Guest Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) Corbyn seems to have changed his tune to suit today’s media response. In my opinion, he’s the least suited leader of any party ever. And that includes Michael Foot. Edited March 15, 2018 by boltondiver Quote
leigh white Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I would imagine if the Labour party had been funded by Russians, the right wing media would be in overdrive now. Quote

No need to Mick, it’s been done to death when Red Ken and Co were in cahoots before Putin the Centrist came in and stopped their money train.... Quote
Boby Brno Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Corbyn now suggesting that it could be Russian Mafia who carried out the poisoning. I thought the Mafia and the Russian government were the same thing. Like the Russian backed rebel’s who shot down flight MH17. Same thing. Quote
Boby Brno Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 He can’t help himself. Yesterday he was blaming cuts in the Diplomatic service, today it’s the private sector! Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 He's a rat. Scurrying around for dirt and crumbs. I'm hoping that this re-engages the leadership debate and the labour party can get in someone who is plausible and can at least offer some sort of opposition. Wish he'd crawl away and start his own party and take momentum with him. Anyone remember Hilary Benn's speech? Whether you agree with his politics or not; he's someone you can at least respect. Quote

In one!! I'm slightly right of centre but always want a decent opposition from the left and will accept a true socialist party if they win power, John Smith being the last credible leader imo - shame he never made PM Quote
Guest Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Hilary Benn grew up to have a mind of his own. Good on him Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Good on him His ability to debate and put a decent argument across was self evident. I've since seen him comment on something else (can't remember what) that I didn't agree with; but it made me think about what he said and develop a counter argument. This current Pillock just makes me want to thump him. Quote
Spider Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Labour are completely unelectable with that plum in charge. He belongs in a potting shed bellowing insanely at some hydrangeas whilst smearing handfuls of his own jizz into his face. May has handled the whole thing very well whilst Boris continues to do exactly as he likes. As for the Russians, they still don’t care. Quote
madthatter Posted March 17, 2018 Author Posted March 17, 2018 (edited) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43433552 'BuzzFeed News claimed to have evidence of 14 deaths that were actually murders by the Russian state or mafia allies. In each of the cases, police investigations and inquests did not find evidence of any crime.' I find the last bit hard to fathom though given the current understanding. I'm guessing suspicions were always there but it was kept dark for whatever reason(s)? Either that or the po po are truly incompetent . . . Edited March 17, 2018 by madthatter Quote

Guest Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 This made me laugh on Twitter.... 15 May 2016: Boris Johnson compares EU to Hitler's Third Reich. 17 March 2018: Boris Johnson seeks EU support for tough line on Russia. #brexit Quote
miamiwhite Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Almost as funny as Corbyn and McDonnell’s obvious cracks appearing to show over the weekend. I wonder if McDonnell fancies his chances as leader, knowing his former best mate will never get in at 10 ? Quote

I wonder if McDonnell fancies his chances as leader, knowing his former best mate will never get in at 10 ? Depends which paper you read as to how that was reported. I saw it more as some damage control over anything else. McDonnell has less chance than you do of ever being PM to be honest. Quote

Possibly, depending on which paper you read but a clear difference in normal folk’s eyes. Quote
birch-chorley Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 I think Corbyn misjudged the situation with his initial position on all this, I think he clearly lost a bit of ground on the back of it to TM who badly needed to get one right Quote

Guest Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Totally agree, and interesting to see some are intalks with the Lib Dem’s according to The Times re forming a new party called Start Again. Start again is rumoured to be a Pro-EU party from across the three main parties. Not sure you'd be particularly happy with that. It would numbers wise (if MP's could be persuaded) be very powerful indeed. Of course, it won't happen, because like all these things, the risk is far greater than the reward individually. Quote
