Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 18, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted April 18, 2018 Once got one coming down from Whitefield into bury. The two sections have different times, as I entered the second I saw the sign, realised I shouldn't be in it and moved out. Fuckin spy camera in the back of a trani got me. Only in it for a few yards. Best take the medicine unless you can evidence the poor signage.
tomski
They've changed the road layout. One bird in my old team has got 12 tickets. Mine is nearly 4 months ago which suggests there is some backlog they are working through
madthatter
I'd have to agree with TMGJ sadly. Got done loads in Manc and now here in Bristol. I've argued every thing and got nowhere. Signage is piss poor I agree. I just stay out of them all now - been trained like a dog with a stick

Guest
I went down just after it was (incorrectly) turned into a bus lane and they sent me a warning letter. Fingers crossed

It is a timed bus lane out through Whitefield but changes to a 24 hour one in Bury. Bury Council must be bloody loaded.

Driving in a bus lane is council issued, similar to getting a parking ticket. Far as I know no time limit on it, but could be wrong.... mickbrown
Re Oxford Road. It's not even driving in the bus lane. Cars can't use the road full stop. I walk down it quite regularly and chuckle at the daft buggers driving down it. Council must be coining it in Edited April 19, 2018 by mickbrown

jules_darby
The signs are shite from he turn offs from A34 etc They do what they can to cunt you off from driving in the city centre. The signalling is stupid as fuck at loads of junctions too.
mickbrown
Its the standard evel knievel sign isn't it? Maybe folk just don't know their road signs anymore?

Must be because I know the area and I know it's just for buses but they look pretty obvious to me. Maybe if I didn't they might not be quite so obvious
MancWanderer
It's a fucking joke. The main car park for Manchester Royal Infirmary is just off the middle of that restricted bit of Oxford Road If you're staff, an out-patient, visiting a patient, or going there on business you try getting into that car park without getting a ticket The signage is dreadful
jules_darby
The majority around town are buses 7-10 and 4-7; maybe that gets folks? For me I Thought the buses onlybot was further up and as it gets towards Oxford St that you’re ok, cos I’d seen loads of cars going down there. Hence doing it and getting done
