Did the Danube from Passau in Germany to Budapest, then extra 2 nights there, honestly was brilliant, fantastic scenery, great trips out would highly recommend, only downside was loads of Americans who just talk for the sake of it.......and everybody on board stinking of piss.

Off interrailing around Europe for 3 and half weeks in 3 weeks. Can’t wait, celebrating the end of uni for most of my uni mates. Sadly (luckily?) engineering requires 4 years so i’ve got another year to do yet..

Did some of that last year - Germany, Austria and Switzerland, trains were spot on and usually on time. Some great places round Europe

Do Europeans come over here using our replacement bus services? ????

I'd imagine not many Europeans want to travel between moses gates and Manchester Victoria.

Our route is brussels, amsterdam, berlin, krakow, vienna, lake bled, zagreb, budapest. Combination of hostels and a few nicer air bnb’s where they were cheap enough. Gunna be some trip, any reccomendations of must do’s etc. on any of the above muchly appreciated

Done a few of them. Vienna in particular I really enjoyed, very similar to Rome in many ways. Every nook and cranny seems to open up into a little square with 2 or 3 bars on it. If you like scoffing dessert puddings, Cafe Central in Vienna is ace - bit like a German bierkeller but for puddings,

Don’t know if your time/route allows but Salzburg is also a fabulous city, not overly big and about 2 hours on the rattler from Vienna,

Know a cracking Airbnb in Budapest if you're interested?

Love that place. Visit Hospital in the Rock if you can.

Bloody students these days, some of us slept in fields & on beaches, and scrumped fruit to eat when we interrailed.

Have a good time.

I didn’t find it overly expensive considering Austria has a reputation for being expensive. No more expensive than a few days in Manchester, cheaper than London

We’ve already got one booked. Cheers though

Just back from Malta. Did Scicilly last month.

Our second trip - years apart - enjoyed both.

Much more built up now.

One of my favourite places is Seattle. Been there many many times with the last company I worked for. And yes, I agree Americans like the sound of their own voices and the think all Europeans are dumb shites

Budapest is mint. Most guide books will tell you to stay clear of Vaci Street (Vaci Utca) but being with a dozen geezers we were drawn to it like Moths to a light bulb! It was always lively and never felt threatening - Halliwell Rd is more dangerous than Vaci.

The open air baths are supposed to be great in summer, one or two turn into nightclubs in the evening and are supposed to be "interesting" the later it gets - Sezchenyi Spa was recommended to us, but we were there in winter so never tried it.

The Ruins bars were good.

And Marilyns obvs

Budapest - many like the the ruin bars. The big baths next to the zoo are good but also do anything else that takes your fancy, it is a great city with so much to see.

Venice is expensive

No more expensive than Florence or Rome, you'll get that in any touristy destinations in Italy.

These river cruises are really taking off, we do quite a few of them, although I've not actually sold any myself.
