deane koontz
Soo...How do we reckon this is going to play out in the World Cup? Success A big bag of shite that spoils the WC Or a bit of both..
gonzo
It’s going to be used by officials from countries that have just about invented the whistle.
jimmyjoojar
I reckon there will be as many contentious decisions made on the back of VAR than there would without it. The technology is there and has been for years, unfortunately FIFA (UEFA are no better mind) haven't got the collective nous and personnel to implement and use it properly. Underpants
I will say it's going to ruin it. Linesmen have been instructed to keep their flags down for any offside that could be described as marginal. Expect every single goal to be reviewed. Whites man
I thought VAR would have ruled out Diego Costa’s first goal last night after he elbowed Pepe. I’m abroad at the moment so the commentary was in foreign, no idea if it was mentioned.

Didledee
His arm went onto Pepe, but if VAR got involved it should only have been for Pepe play acting.
enzo gambaro
Pepe was being a diving tart there. That’s true, but nine times out of ten, if you lead with your arm like that when you jump for the ball, it’s a foul.

jmjhb
Sensibly. Both looked contentious at first glance. Didn't break up the game either as the ball was out for a corner anyway Loaded question though as you could argue it would be pointless if they don't change the decision every time Edited June 16, 2018 by jmjhb
