Tried it just now. Upturned mower and gradual dipping in. Mower blade broke on bone. Bit of a mess and sore to be honest.

Fucking hell. Careful out there!

Had acupuncture before and was impressed.

Post massage pleasure may be just a bit of wishful thinking :)

Surprised he didn’t just get in there with the stump grinder to be honest.

not had a drink since last Saturday

5 nights with no beer is my longest stretch since fuck knows when, well before covid

might give it a miss tonight and tomorrow and plough on through to next weekend

just to see what a weekend without booze is like

Yes, had a week off this week as I've been upping my gym going, been everyday this week for a 2 hour session a day - having a rest day today as I'm bloody knackered.

Lost a stone over the past month, very pleased with that.

Just eaten some of one of the lad's Easter eggs.

He's never really been into them, and isn't a big chocolate fan, but grand parent insist. I'm not complaining.

Madri and pizza tonight. Fuck healthy eating. Never wanted to be skinny anyway 😁

Lockdown was my downfall. Trying to slowly reduce the habit and it is working,  just not as quickly as I'd hoped

Done 4 days with less than 50g carbs each day. Found it much easier than previous attempts. Initial plan was to do it for a fortnight but plans have changed for tomorrow so Sunday-Friday it is. Just got to be really keen on meal planning really and found a bit of variety in the meals.

Other way round completely. I lost 3 stone…and have since put it all back on, plus change.

I’ve lost the will these last few weeks. Been doing a bit of fasting. A few runs. Managed a 13-miler the other week before the Fleetwood match up Rivington. And then dragged my arse to the Peaks for a 21-miler on Tuesday in the glorious sunshine - which was superb in places. First time I’ve visited the B29 plane crash site - can’t believe how much wreckage is still there from 1948. And then had a section of the run at Alport Castles (first visit) - managed to scramble to the top of ‘The Tower’, which was so ‘not-running’. And finished with Snake Woods - which were mighty damn pretty. Body been ruined all week since. Dragged myself out with the Mrs this morning for a 4-miler. But the weights have been totally ignored for 7-10 days now.

Given up weighing myself as I don’t want the disappointment.

Casual "ive fallen off the wagon by only running 100 miles up hills... Not my PB" post.

Classic May wways post!

😉

I've had at least 3 pints every day since December 20th.

I'm fat and no longer give a fuck.

First 11 weeks of this year I lost 39lb.

In the last 9 weeks I’ve put on 18lb.

During one of those periods I wasn’t drinking.

Now if you’re a glass half empty type that might be pretty depressing but the glass half full types are in the back garden with a cider celebrating being a stone and half down 👀

First time I've ever really done weights, it's amazing how quickly you can tone up.

Although the kids who are about 7 stone and come in make me chuckle. Its like I'm here because I have to be otherwise I'll be a fat fucker. You don't.

I guess it's that Loveisland effect, all these skinny little kids want to be hench for the ladies/girls.

Seems i can finally run every couple of days without my Achilles flaring up and putting me out for a week at a time. What a ballache it was.

What are some decent running trainers?

Preferably for flat footed freaks.

go to a running shop and get your gait checked first.

I like mizuno wave riders for a neutral foot but it generally depends on what feels right. the wrong ones will be shit though so get it checked out

you can get a free gait analysis off sports shoes, they'll also recommend trainers for you and supply a discount code

https://www.sportsshoes.com/

I'm also flat footed and over pronate so I went with the sauconys

Edited by L/H White

Tobutts Sports opposite ASDA at Astley Bridge do free gait analysis too.

I prefer asics because i like how they fit around my ankle, but its all personal preference.

I've tried Hoka but felt like they were falling off my feet.

Personally I think gait analysis is a bit of hokum when I've done it.

Also nothing will solve getting your knees fucked, I'm just on the bike now.

Been trying to put on muscle over the past 2 month and succeeding with limited success.

Its harder than you think. Eating loads and training loadser when you've fuck all in the tank as it is.

The cuts gonna be horrendous.
