MancWanderer
Just watched a 1993 (I think) race from Hockenheim. Derek Warwick had a 200mph crash in the wet in the morning warm up. Destroyed the car and ended up burying upside down in a gravel trap. No real roll bar, no halo, and you could see his head hit the gravel as the car entered upside down. Went to hospital for an X-Ray, “bit of a stiff neck”, and went out and raced later on. Fucking hell

He could be saving face, but that looks a little like he may not continue? I think his level has dropped. He's still very quick, but the judgement seems to have slipped. Too many errors, maybe he's been trying too hard to respond to the pressure from Leclerc? I think Ferrari will be stronger without him, which is quite a turnaround. All the money in the world and continuing to fly round a track risking his life when he’s got kids. He’s an all time great and nothing left to prove. I reckon Lewis will beat Schumacher record and bow out as well

MancWanderer
Superb looking car but as Baked says it does echo a certain era of German history ironically And yes I had the JPS Lotus Scalextric car (Fittipaldi?) along with the blue Tyrrell (Stewart?) Still enjoy a game but not done so for a few years as the lad has got older.
