So I'm supposed to give my opinions on certain "behaviour" even though you can't tell me what that behaviour involves?

The fact you've resorted to personal insults speaks volumes.

Over sexualised behaviour not good enough for you ?

I said you have made a prick of yourself. It is just a fact not an insult.

No, because "over sexualised" is subjective. Is someone wearing revealing clothing "over sexualised" behaviour, or are we talking about people having sex in public?

And no, it's not a fact that I've "made a prick of myself", its an opinion.

And as you have not attended such an event you are  unlikely to be able to judge the behaviour.

I apologise it was not a fact it was a consensus.

Going out now. Wimbledon tomorrow. You should get out more.

When you get time, please describe the behaviour you saw that was "over sexualised" and therefore is a reason for concern. Otherwise, I can't possibly express an opinion about something so cryptic.

Enjoy Wimbledon.

One of my best mates is an extrovert gayster. He detests “Pride” and anything similar. All he asks is to go for a meal with his “husband” in a restaurant that isn’t specifically  for “gays”, go for a drink without feeling the need to go to a “gay area” and generally spend his leisure time doing what any normal couple would do - and by normal I mean a consensual couple of any persuasion

He sees no reason to “celebrate” his sexual preference

I’m sort of with Widnes in understanding his thoughts. My mate has risen to a fairly senior position at work and has never hidden his sexuality as nobody actually gives a shit. He’s good at what he does. End of. However........don’t think for one minute that discrimination doesn’t exist. He is rarely able to go out as a couple with out the nods and winks, audible comments, etc. Sadly it still happens

I also share Widnes's "I couldn't care less" mentality. The difference is, I recognise that unfortunately some people do care, and some of those people care so much that they discriminate and abuse people because of their sexuality.

We were in the middle of it all last weekend in New York

Some things I’d rather not have seen!

The point I was originally making was really about desency. When this Pride thing started it was all about being 'out there' in a society that had been uncomfortable with homosexuality. We're here and you better start getting use to it, darlings. Good for them say I. Men and women dressed in near as dam it normal stuff with a bit of colour and mincing thrown in. Now it's evolved. Like I said it's fun and family orientated now rather than being some sort of passive, aggressive statement. But when you get some parading down the street in just thongs or leather chaps, and not much else, it seems miles away from what it was trying to convey years ago. Am I turning in to a prude? Probably.

Used to work in the uni building on the corner of Chorlton Street and Canal Street, the security guy said on pride weekend the CCTV overlooking the carpark caught all sorts going on - full on gang bangs, orgies and general free for alls

To be fair not too dissimilar to a night out in faliraki

I'm in the couldn't care less bracket but bet most of these bummers spent years in denial or repression so if they want to go for it and make up for lost time then crack on

If I ever turn out to be gay I'm going in nuts deep so to speak, they do look like they have more fun, the dirty bastards

There is no need for pride as I initially said, nobody gives a shit if your gay

Gay mate of mine works in A&E and was abused and spat on a couple of weeks ago for being queer.

There are over 60 countries in the world where to be gay is against the law.

Out of the 195 countries in the world, 168 do not allow same sex marriage.

So fair to say discrimination exists, and folk do give a fuck. Sad but true

The country I live in doesn't give a shit and nor do I. If you're a cocoa shunter so what. The other 168 countries can fuck off

You don’t care, neither do I, but plenty do. It’s getting better but just like racism it’s still knocking about

If you went to a parade and part of it was women in bikinis jiggling about would you think that was decent??

You've totally missed the point. Still, never mind.

See that's another I don't give a shit about, colour of skin, who gives a fuck

I knock about with loads of football lads and if they say things about peoples skin they get called out immediately

It was more a reference to men parading in thongs and chaps as opposed to women doing it.

And rightly so

Which proves it’s still about. Just like homophobia.

You may be enlightened but many aren’t

One of the best nights I had after a BWFC match was after we played Man City and about 25 Bolton lads ended up in a pub up canal street the landlord was called queeny, anyhow he made us most welcome and we had a great night in there, singing and generally having the best crack with the clientele.

I think it's more a case of right time and place. Perhaps the values of society are different from country to country too as to how much is on show.

Not necessarily a matter of sexuality.
