  • Don’t think ever felt as proud to be a Bolton fan. 2 kids, the wife, peteski and my old man kicking and heading every ball at the end like it was the World Cup final.  We are in it together

  • Our lot gutted, but well done your kids - showed a lot of heart (and got stuck in). Good luck for the rest of the season.

Its the administrators job to run the business IF cash is available to run it with. If cash runs out then they have to liquidate the business.

Correct. If there is a shortage of funds in the business, I believe that you sometimes see a costs indemnity from the lender who appointed the administrators, so that they will fund the administration in order to facilitate a sale of the business.

Escobarp is fairly clued up on this sort of stuff - perhaps he could confirm?

It seems pretty straightforward. The admin have to run the club as close to break even as possible.

To do this they have come up with a price, they have agreed this with the preferred bidder.

There is not the option to use this game to thank and reward fans for their loyalty. Until we are out of Admin all decisions will be based on the idea of minimising losses.

Agree with all that , think it would have been prudent for the administrators to have issued a statement alongside the pricing structure for this game maybe?

As I said no one ( or virtually no one) thought he was the messiah. He was a necessary evil. Do you really think the title of thread was serious ?

no one thought it was the messiah but for a fair few he was beyond reproach because he was the only show in town and all that - plenty also took his side against Vince from FGR when that all kicked off when there wasn't really an excuse for how he conducted his business

even now, Chris C is trying to defend or excuse his actions as a result of the media coverage he received

Heard you the first time, Zico...

(FWIW, after seeing how many chances Doidge missed for Hibs on Saturday, we probably dodged a bullet on that one)

They didn't set prices. FV aren't going to say anything till they are officially in charge - IF....

Biggest crowd of 2000/01 - 24,000 on a Tuesday night in February v Grimsby - because it was a fiver for anybody

Biggest crowd in third tier under Ken  - 23,000 v Chesterfield because it was a fiver for anybody

It's offers like Season ticket holders can buy a ticket for a mate for a tenner that don't increase the crowd much.

Reducing ticket prices alone won't result in a huge increase in attendance. Normally, there has to be something else to pull people in as well - a team playing good football, or on the way to promotion in the instance of the Chesterfield example.

I have thought our current circumstances might well have been that added incentive this time around, but it would have been a big gamble for the administrators/FV.

Agreed.

I assume the only input FV would have had would have been purely advisory.

Completely wrong. I've never argued nor expected Ken Anderson to be some kind of saint or martyr and neither have I defended nor excused any actions where there is evidence of any wrongdoing or illegality.  But I have criticised fake news, falsehood, misrepresentation, prejudice, bias, and rabble rousing and there's been a tsunami of it.

It's going to be a struggle to pull people in whilst we have that -12, which is going to be a big noose around our necks for a while even if everything is sorted and we're playing well.   It's hard to pull the crowds in if you're rock bottom and heading for relegation.

I'm just going to go and join mickbrown in his shed, as I know that's where he keeps his homebrew...

I get the feeling there may be a fair few in Micks shed come Saturday afternoon.

Given that people paid for Brentford and as far as I’m aware, not been paid back, and we have a bunch of kids playing, plus ST holders expect to pay 15-18 quid on average as they will attend all the games,  a certain amount of goodwill would be in order for this particular game ie 15 quid.

Come on Bolton fans FFS...your club right now has no viable income yet some appear to be moaning at £24?

Do some of you actually believe it should be free...:shok:

Sadly, this is where we're at.

That's the going rate we were paying at Ewood when we dropped a few seasons ago.

Your club needs every penny right now,I'd be backing them to the hilt.

Sadly plenty would still say it was over their budget or have an alternative excuse lined up

What ever the cost you either pay it or don’t go. No point in trying to convince people who think it should be cheaper. What’s concerning me is it seems to be taking a long time for updated information. But then that’s par for the course right now.

Just been up to the club shop.

not on sale yet.

Imo it's an it issue.

only taking cash payments for merchandise.

im no expert tho!

Takes a long time to set prices.

They were only taking cash payments towards the end of last season as the club hadn't paid the bills for the card machine functionality.

I bet that's what's happened now - people have turned up at the shop to buy tickets, with a credit/debit card, and they've realised they can't sell them.
