Escobarp
Surprised at who posted that tbf but the exact answer expected. is that the same as the government are funding the clinical trials and also funding the development of the track and trace apps though? Or is it different? Genuine question that?

He really is a useless cunt Do you reckon he sat there, alone, reading reams of detailed technical data and thought, "fuck that, they're not good enough, we'll do our own"? Or do you think advisors said something along the lines of "we can start with an off the shelf product, which will need modification, or we could try and produce a better one for ourselves", and then made a decision looking at the evidence and recommendations presented. In this instance I’m sure if they could turn back time they would. They can’t. It happens. Right shit happens. This is another in a worrying series of decisions from the Govt that do not seem great. (Only seen reported in the Mirror so not sure even if true). But I think you responses are probably more to do with your bad day than what has been said. 😁😃 We had a family day out today for step daughters 19th bday. West Yorkshire wild life park. Pissing down. You knew it would be rubbish when as we went in we were told we would be getting vouchers for free entry to make up for today. Which, as it happens, isn't as bad as folk are making out. If, as it was claimed, it works on Android devices, then let us use that, until this best of both app is complete. Escobarp
So Apple are the issue. The app works in its base form but Apple are restricting the use of Bluetooth linking when the app/phone is not active. ao Apple then benefit from having the cheif bargaining chip and will only relax it for their own apps. who knew these sort of things happen in the big bad world. Very surprised and disappointed the government and the company developing it didn’t see being held to ransom on the horizon. You would have thought Apple would put there commerical interests slightly behind public health But Hancock and Boris out Edited June 18, 2020 by Escobarp

Now, in fairness to Apple, if that would cause a lot of trouble and cost, I can have sympathy. But that isn't the fault of the government. Good to see that we did develop a system that works better with regards to distance measurement than theirs too. Hopefully, this bringing together of the two systems will be quick and effective. Presumably then, the whole world will be able to use it if desired.

That's expected. Just a bit of balance, rather than full ot attack, would make it less obviously political. 4 more years.
