That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Listening to today's briefing on the wireless earlier, and a barrage of questions about how are govt expecting all schools to go back even if 1 metere distancing is still in place. I've a feeling by September they're thinking distancing will be a thing of the past, they just cant say that yet.

That’s the way I read it too. As long as there’s no second peak. Back to school and back to watching football in September 👍

My Year 10 loved it. Teachers did a great job 👏

No COVID deaths at Bolton hospital for 7 days and nobody in critical care with COVID.

Remarkable considering where we were a few months back. Well done chaps - that lockdown has done its job.......

Not quite time to go out dogging quite yet but it's getting closer.

I’d like to know how many of these are in care homes.

Not been on here for the last couple of days due to work and I’m flabbergasted that folk are so het up about some tech isn’t working. Surprised? Really?

As a company we have been trying to develop a way of interacting with customers within the NHS and what method is best. The bods in charge of the project selected a provider based on the testing and have us a platform to use. Guess what? It failed spectacularly because the NHS firewalls and the version of Internet Explorer that the NHS uses means that the sound and video feeds don’t work

When it was first developed it worked perfectly but the recent cyber attack on the NHS, the fact that tech changes so fast, and the fact that platforms, browsers, and data delivery systems are different with different providers means suddenly W found that we can’t interact at all now and are back to square one

Similar to Esco’s situation

Sadly I handled it very badly this morning on a video conference. I went all mickbrown and pointed fingers and described it as “the worst fucking bastard clusterfuck that I’ve seen in 34 years in this industry”

I have an informal discussion booked with HR on Monday after somebody complained about me

I’m more surprised (and ashamed) at myself to be perfectly honest. I should have taken a more balanced view

But if you could have seen the issue 8 weeks ago would you have spent all that time continuing development just in case that issue just magically went away?

You can tell how many are in hospital by looking at the NHS figures, majority of the rest are in care homes / hospice, very few at home. I've not worked it out for a while. Today its 46 in England, 0 wales, 6 Scotland, 0 NI, so 52 in hospitals. Must be 121 outside of hospitals, which is a very high %

Thought as much, the care homes taking the brunt of the deaths and I’d guess why our figures are not tailing off as quickly as other countries have, have spain, Italy, France included/including care home deaths?  As I’ve said a month a 2 back  the government seriously fucked up in the care homes and that will be the biggest scandal and will deserve an investigation.

From what we can see currently, it seems sending folk back with covid, coupled with insufficient ppe for staff, has allowed it to run riot in some places.

Others, somehow, have managed to remain free from it.

It will come out in the wash.

As have the opposition

Yes care home owners are livid with the press.

I think after this is over then that’ll be the time to hold the government to account on the care sector.

Indeed.

40,000+ deaths can be blamed solely on the press and opposition.

You never stood a chance mate

If that's what we're up against we may as well make the track and trace a hand written postal affair

PT at our gym (Virgin... the gym, not him, although I wouldn't know) tells us they're quietly gearing up for a July 4 opening also.
