As an aside British army have been told that the country is going into lockdown potentially by end of weekend and they are being drafted in to help with policing the  supermarkets (genuinely this is true) And to police the lockdown

 

whether it transpires or not I don’t know but this comes from someone who’s husband is a serving soldier 

Italy was at 55 deaths just over 2 weeks ago,  let’s see what our deaths are at the end of the month. Let’s hope nowhere near where Italy’s are right now.

Soldier or officer?

Someone who is a soldier is unlikely to know what’s happening until they’re being deployed. Officers are more likely to be privy to the planning but leaking such info comes with its own problems.

I think what we're seeing is a gradual shutdown of the country in carefully measured stages. If that's the case then I think the government and their experts have called it right. We won't know however, until after the event. That could be 12 months from now.
