We’ve massively less cases than everyone else from what we can see. Maybe we haven’t. Who knows. But If your looking to hang someone politically as per usual mick please go and take your hangman kit somewhere else mate eh as now isn’t the time for it. Cheers

I think it will catch up with us but seems rather than the government themselves it was their scientific and medical advisers that failed to act quickly

It could be argued they are still plodding along a bit

Gutted for my daughter, she’s had a really tough time past few months nursery has have really helped her since she get her hearing aids and finally she catching up and getting good one to one to get her school ready for September, she’s made friends after a tough start,

necessary measure just gutted for her.

today the first day I’ve felt a little bit like. Fuck this is really really serious. Had an idea it was just think when it isn’t on the doorstep you don’t think about it, in one week gone being comfortable at work to worrying how to keep everyone busy and sites running.

Therein is the issue. Is he right? Maybe.

Is he realistically any better qualified to make the judgements than they are? Probably not.

Do his comments come purely from a medical point of view, and not take into account behavioural data? Interestingly Vallance confirmed model does include allowing for folk not following guidance.

As they said previously, lock down too early and there's a chance folk will get fed up and start to challenge it.

In short, the bloke may be right in the long run, but I don't think articles like this are helpful right now.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. He said it was met with complacency in the UK. Not as much as Italy! Political point scoring at its worst by the Guardian.

Anyway, this is what WHO were saying in January.

Had a Corona Virus Test today. Negative thank God.

Using Cov City colours in the background, nice touch.

GPs possibly being moved up to the hospital

Soldier or officer?

Someone who is a soldier is unlikely to know what’s happening until they’re being deployed. Officers are more likely to be privy to the planning but leaking such info comes with its own problems.

Officer. Its his wife giving this info

Just waiting for all the chavvy cunts to fuck off out of Tesco and into Sports Direct.

They've all been wearing them for years anyway

Another rung up the ladder of seriousness.

BJ spoke about a test thing being developed to see if you've already had it

Now that will be a game changer

I agree the timing is pointless but he's as well qualified as anyone to know what's been going on and what could've been done better

Im not having as political point scoring though and that isn't why i posted it - if what he says is true, and I've no reason to doubt it, i think it would've been said about whoever was in charge had they done the same, just in a different paper

Well this sucks...

Schools closed, and exams cancelled..

I don't have a job secured for September so need to start looking now :(

All got Debenham's cards in our area and use the Guided Busway to Manc for the top Fred Perry gear.😄

@kent_white just had a call from my University lecturer asking if I could volunteer taking blood pressures, admins and general helping out, you heard anything about this?

I think a lot of people are going to have to take up some sort of position helping the NHS. Whether it's voluntary or paid or whatever. Can see massive upscaling of staff to try and cope with demand.

These isolation requirement need dropping for NHS staff. There's going to be too many of us off at any one point. Should be instant testing at the first sign of a cough for NHS staff - so that we can carry on working if it's a negative. Can't see how we can possibly carry on otherwise.

Never, i hear them ...'Once a Lyther always a Lyther' and that means no change of clobber.

Must admit, I bought a cracking pair of Adidos trainers last week in your Market St branch last week in Manc.

It's the real deal this. All petty bollocks, politics and nonsense needs binning off. We're in a real scrape here and we're all going to have to help each other through it.

Daughter's lecturer has got it over in Sheffield.

They're all self isolating tomorrow......after a big party tonight.

The youth of tomorrow.....WTF.

Yeah, been on the phone today to my elderly aunt and an old girlfriend asking do they need any help with shopping or tasks, seem very independent and didn't require my offer.
