My comment on your post makes no sense then. (Unless it was edited)

Makes me doubt myself.
My question was, can you edit posts without it showing as an actual edit?

do you mean can I edit your posts?

I can but we'll have to do a test to see if it comes up as edited by me

I've never done it and I've no intention of ever doing it

I'm just here to pay the bills and keep the site patched and up to date, never considered myself as moderator or ever felt in anyway inclined to moderate anyone's posts

reply to this post

call me a twat or something

then I'l see if I can edit to something more favourable and see if it comes up as being edited

I was talking about editing your own post. As I say, it’s not the first time. Not you.
I’ll leave you all to it.

Strange? Hamas controls Gaza. They are Palestinian. I’ve been clear all the way through this thread that it’s a war between Israel and Hamas. It’s strange that you should pick up on a semantic point. We all know what the issue is.
Israel is at war with Hamas, not Fatah.

As it’s pedantic Tuesday, the Guardian also makes obvious school boy errors.

It’s an interesting read. This still sticks in my mind.

The exit of the Qureia cabinet will change the wider politics of the region. Fatah, the party of Yasser Arafat and President Mahmoud Abbas - supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, while the founding charter of Hamas commits it to the destruction of the Jewish state.

It's simply a matter of fact

If you don't want to be picked up on it, be more accurate

No, I’m telling you that kids/innocents will always get killed in wars.

They will, but I heard a stat, that more children have been killed in Gaza in this 5 months that in the whole worldwide conflicts over the last 4 years .

it was from an un aid worker, no idea how to verify it but if that’s anything near true it shows that the response has been disproportionate to put it mildly and isn’t the “ normal “ collateral damage that obviously does occur in these scenarios.

Not verified, and even if true, comparing one conflict with another in such a way is ridiculous- they have very different circumstances/infrastructure/ and the use of human shields isn't consistent.

A worker simply looking for some stat or other to make a point, without consideration of the wider picture? A worker from the UN - already seen that some were alleged to have taken part in the terrorist attack itself.

And that no doubt doesn't include conflicts where charitable efforts and media coverage is almost non existent.

Possibly but the human shield aspect could be an argument why Israel have to tread lightly?

they  know they’re using human shields, so maybe don’t bomb them as you know you’ll kill innocents ?

there’ll be those that disagree with that and say it’s Hamas fault for using human shields, my opinion is don’t bomb if you know innocents are there.

it wasn’t some Hamas mouthpiece stating it either , it was a UN person, who had figures from other conflicts covered by media or not . I have no idea as I said, neither do you or anyone but if it’s true it’s pretty bad stat, think everyone would agree on that surely?

So allow a continuous bombardment of rockets and bombs?

As sad as it is I doubt any country would do that.

Don’t think I said that to be honest .

Don’t have a “ side” , think Hamas are cunts who need obliteration, however, think if it could be done without killing innocent kids,( as far as reasonably possible as I accept it happens ) that would be more inline with acceptable protocols of civilised nations .

“Dont bomb if you know innocents are there”

So what do Israel, or any country for that matter, do if they’re be continually bombed from say a school or mosque.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Lie down and take it.

Wonder how many Gaza screechers are also complaining about insufficient spending on our own armed services.

Not what I said or was even inferring and is typical of the responses on here .

“Gaza screechers “ really?

that alone shows where this thread is in terms of rational thinking.

I’ll leave you to it

Theyre going to retaliate.

Uncomfortable facts. They don't like them.

The IDF won't stop until the objective is achieved. All of this empty talk is just that. It will change nothing.

Fair enough. What about the UN Security Council?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68658415

I'm willing to place more trust in the UN Security Council than I am in a woman who believes the US is "subjugated by the Jewish lobby"

Although, I don't believe a ceasefire is really a viable option, probably for either party involved in the fighting
